Very comfortable out of the box. Put them on and walked several miles. Still feel good, no pinches or rough spots. Good grip on the soles. Fit length is accurate, width and toe are roomy & seem made for thick socks which is good for me. Steel shank has a perfect rocker shape for ease of walking. Toe box flexes in front of the shank, which was new to me but very comfortable. Good medium-stiff leather, lots of support. I use hiking type boots for their intended purpose as well as for hunting in all kinds of weather and surfaces. Should last several years.

This is an awesome price on these hikers as the MSRP is $155 so at $100 it is a great buy. These are very comfortable and I wear them as everyday shoes. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the "hiker" type Timberlands run larger than the regular Timberland workboots as I am full size smaller in the hikers. I don't have a clue as to what the other reviewer meant about a seam? A happy Timberland customer since 1988.

Very nice boot! Will probably have to replace the shoe strings soon-kind of thin, they hurt my hands when pulling them tight. Very comfortable. I've been buying Timberland for a couple years now and never been disapointed yet!
