I have only been wearing these for about two weeks now but am very happy with the shoe so far. It required no breaking in period and unlike most steel toe shoes/boots, these actually have arch support and cushioning in them. I actually did a 40 minute speed walk in them after work one night and they were comfortable. The tongue is attached to the shoe so there's no issues with it sliding around. It's too early to know how they'll hold up in the long run but I'm hoping they last me around a year.

These shoes aren't garbage, but for the steep price I'm not impressed.Yes, they are beautiful on the outside, but that's really all they have going for them.

I found them impossible to break in as the sole is almost made of solid plastic, or at least seems to be. At the factory I work at people track grease and coolant across the floor from their shoes, and these shoes have literally no traction due to their stiff soles, so when I hit a patch of grease or coolant there is no hope of the shoes saving me. Even just a little patch of water causes me to slip.

Another thing is the annoying open sided metal clips at the top to loop the laces around. These seem senseless due to the fact that these are shoes, not boots.

I paid in excess of 80 dollars for these shoes and wore them for a week before reverting to my Brahma's that I paid about 30 dollars for.

I'm sure these shoes would be ok for someone who works in one spot all day and really only needs them purely for the fact that they have steel toes, but for anyone who's going to put their steel toes to the test, these aren't for you. Don't be fooled by their appearance.

I owned a pair of Timberland Pitboss boots before these that have lasted me 4 years and when it was time to retire them I figure Timberland was a great brand so I picked up these at a local store for around 90 dollars.... what a waste . They started out stiff like most new shoes but after wearing them for 3 months I started developing a sharp pain in my right heel, I have tried several different inserts and even the special heel pain inserts and none of them helped so I brought my old pitboss boots out of retirement and a week later viola! pain gone! Wore these 1 day the next week and BAM pain is back in full force. I tell everyone I know to stay away from these shoes and pray they haven't caused permanent damage to my foot.
P.S. I work 40+ hours a week in an auto dealer shop on a concrete floor

These are some comfortable and light shoes when compared to other steel toe boots. Nevertheless, I own some other timberland steel toe shoes that are, by far, more comfortable. I would recommend these shoes without hesitation, but I would suggest that you also try the timberland mudslingers.

These are a great work shoe. They lasted for a couple of years and then they started giving up the ghost. Very happy with they way they lasted. Best pair of work shoes I have ever owned.

Great work shoe. No need for break-in. Out of the box on my feet standing on a hard floor 12 + hours a day

I work in a machine shop, safety toes are mandatory. These use a composite toe, rather than steel, so it's much lighter. Also, the water based cutting fluid doesn't soak through, and the sole grips very well on a wet concrete floor. The environment I'm in is abusive to shoes, and I'm on my feet all day, so I replace them every year. But I have a pair in the garage from 3 years or so ago, that I use when I'm doing something outside that may mess up my shoes (spraying insecticide, painting, etc.). They're still comfortable, and keeps the bad stuff off of my feet.

I have bought size 9 2E (wide). Well, after two weeks struggle I have to admit that they are not wide at all and I can't wear them as the widest part of my feet really sore just after a couple of hours. My actual size is 8 1/2 and I never had a problem with any kind of shoes/boots providing they are wide by spec. In this case the sticker inside boots says 9 W (wide) but I would say they are regular. My friend whose size is 9 regular tried them and confirmed that they are definitely regular and not wide. Other than that nice boots. It's a pity that I can't wear them...Wasted money.

I bought this item a few years ago, in spite of some negative reviews. One review pointed out that they
could not break them in. I had a simular experience. They were uncomfortable for a very long time.
When I tried on this new pair, I was pleasantly surprized, The felt good right out of the box. If they
made changes, they hit their mark. I have always liked the Timberland line, and this renews my faith in them.
