5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice
These are some serious boots. Waterproof, sturdy leather, great traction, etc. The tongue is stitched to the rest of the boot so water can't seep in. The padded ankle is definitely a nice touch. I'm very pleased with the quality overall and would definitely buy another pair when these eventually wear out.

For sizing, I typically wear a size 12 for sneakers...

3.0 out of 5 stars not like they used to be made
I love timberland boots, I've been wearing them for the past 5 years and overall I was very satisfied with them. However this last pair that I bought disappointed me a bit though. I've had to send them back after a few months because I was getting a very annoying sound from each one on every step I took. The return was easy, and I got my refund.

For sizing, I typically wear a size 12 for sneakers (size 11 for Chuck Taylors). I ended up buying size 11.5 and they fit comfortably with room for a pair of thick socks.

I bought a new pair at a store, and have been wearing them for about 6 months now, but I a starting to get the same sound of one of the pairs. This issue needs solving fast.

These boots are great for people who like to walk a lot, and not nesecarely walking on concrete. I just hope the quality gets back to where it used to be.

This boot ıs very stylish and comfortable. It snows quite a lot where I live and this boot is the perfect one to be used at such weather. On the other hand, I wear it with my pants to go to clubs. They are just for anywhere use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, February 5, 2011
I got these a couple days ago and have worn them a great deal. They were a bit squeaky at first and if they're tied too tight they are slightly painful. However this will go away once they are broken in a bit.

I'm a college student and spend a lot of time walking around campus and even though every other guy has a pair of timbs, none of them are like the rust nubuck pair that I bought. People are constantly asking me where I got them in this color, so I know they stick out in a good way.

I love the rugged look of them and their versatility and durability. When you examine them you can just tell that they are well put together and will last for about a million years if they're well maintained.

Buy them at least a half size smaller than what you normally wear because they run a bit big. I wear a size 12 and have a good bit of toe room in 11.5s.

4.0 out of 5 stars Survival of the Fittest, March 17, 2010

I purchased these boots so that I could survive the snow appocalyse of 2010. I especially liked that the boots were water proof so when I walked through the two feet of snow to get to work my doggies were bone dry. My only negative comment is the price. No one should pay over a 100 bucks for a pair of winter boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars very satisfied, May 11, 2009
The boots were exactly as I expected. They are a bit hard to get on and off at first like any boots, but once worn-in, they are supremely comfortable. I was skeptical at first choosing the red color ones because if the picture was inaccurate I would end up with some bright red tacky boots, but when I got them they looked just like the picture (a very nice brick tone color) so I was very satisfied with my order. The order took as usual about a week.

A very well made and comfortable boot. I feel as if the Timberland Co. has been declining in recent years but they have never once forgotten what got that company off the ground. I had a pair of these before and they lasted about four years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Boots, January 27, 2009

I like these boots very much. Price was right and they fit the bill. They are waterproof, and will probably (hopefully) serve me as long as the last pair. I bought these to replace a previous pair I bought many years ago. They tend to the large, however. You may be fine with a half size smaller than you think.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tend to run large and the Marketplace vendor is a crook, December 15, 2011

Buying shoes online is always chancy. You can't tell if they fit or not until you try them on. For that reason, Amazon and many other merchants allow free returns. As it turned out the boots were too large for me. I was surprised since I have two other new pairs of Timberland shoes that fit perfectly.

So, I requested a return. The vendor, Frankels of Brooklyn NY sent me an email with return instructions. I was very surprised to find that they charge $10 for a return. Add the $20 UPS charge to ship it back to them and you are looking at a big penalty for online shopping.

But that's not all. Frankels notified Amazon that they shipped my boots (which triggers my credit card being charged) but failed to ship for nearly a week after that. Pretty dishonest.

If you want these boots, check to see if the vendor is Frankels. If it is, go elsewhere.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice boots, November 11, 2009

Pretty nice boots but the sizes are different from other brands. Typically a 9.5 fits perfect. These were way to big.

Better off going to a store and trying them on first.
