These Boots Are Made For Walking!!!!,
This review is from: Timberland Women's Nellie Premium Ankle Boot (Apparel)
Love these boots. They are comfortable and easy to wear. They look as new as when I took them out of the box on Christmas Day and I have worn them everyday since. They came to my front door the same week I ordered them. I will order again.

Nice looking boot but comes very narrow,

I bought my first pair of these boots in black about 1 1/2 years ago and since I've found many online shoes seem to come pretty narrow, I ordered a 1/2 size up in a wide. They did not feel wide at all and fit pretty snug. Not uncomfortably snug to the point of hurting me, and they were really nice looking and just the casual look I wanted in a boot, so I kept them. They have that look of a hiking boot without looking big and bulky (dare I say a little more girlish?)... more the style and sleekness of a classic oxford. Better for casual work and play than for a long hike. After wearing them awhile I forgot about the snuggness and they felt fine (though I always wear them with thin socks). I did a great deal of walking in these shoes... including some months in a couple of foreign countries where you walk everywhere and I put them through some snow and rain and sea water. I did not wear them daily, but enough to say they are decent walking shoes with so-so foot support. However, if you REALLY need a wide shoe and/or intend to wear them with thick socks or for long distances, this is NOT the shoe for you. The boot is a medium/narrow, even if you buy it in wide... if that works for you then you'll like this shoe. After a year and a half the insides fell apart (I've had other Timberland boots last me years and years!). The outsides look alittle worn and old but held up... the insides are a mess. I've certainly never pulled a metal bar outta my shoe before, lol. Again, because I like the way they look and because I probably put them through more than my typical shoe, I ordered a second pair... this time a whole size bigger than my actual size and in wide. Still very narrow and this time they feel pretty darn stiff and they really didn't seem much bigger... but they don't hurt (just a little on the snug side again) and I won't be taking them abroad again or walking extensively in them. For me they are fine for occasional casual wear but ultimately not the comfortable and durable walking boot I hoped they'd also be.

Comfortable, warm, rugged, grippy -- everything I need for very happy feet in any kind of nonsummer weather. Wet? Who cares? Slick? Not for me!Cold? Not my feet. I especially love leaving them unlaced and slipping them on a off like loafers.

These boots are simply fantastic! Purchased in chocolate for my partner, who has had a pair in tan for several years and wears them all the time. Well made, sturdy, good materials, really comfortable, they're around for the long haul. Great for casual, outdoor, or hard work.

I purchased a pair of these boots a few years ago in a shoe store in size 7M because the next size up was too big. This year, I purchased this pair of black ones in the same size through Amazon.com. I didn't use them right away and regret it because I cannot return them. They are way-y-y-y too narrow and not nearly as comfortable as the ones I bought in the shoe store. As a result, I will probably never buy shoes online again.

Woman's Timberland Ankle Boot,

I had not purchased a Timberland boot in several years and decided upon the purchase. Upon receiving them, I tried on two tube socks and the tongue was so sharp and short that it jabbed into my skin with the socks on. In addition, the boots were durable, however, the boots itself were too heavy to walk around and were too stiff. I had always worn Timberland previous to this purchase and Timberland has changed the make of their shoes dramatically.
I contacted Timberland and their response was that they are made over seas. For years there was never an issue with the tongue, as it had a pad around the rim of the tongue and the tongue was extremely long. The boot itself was never heavy nor stiff. Back in the day, they were great to wear on a daily basis. Do not blame Amazon, blame Timberland Company for cutting costs. I will not purchase this product again. Shame on Timberland Company!!

Ordered these a few days ago and when I first tried them on, I liked them EXCEPT the right boot is MUCH narrower than the left, even though they're both listed as Medium width. I have narrow feet & the right one pinches.
After the first day trying to break them in, my ankles were SORE AS HELL from where the top of the boot rests. The material is just too hard & there's no give to them at all while walking. Lace these very loosely or you will be sorry! I can only hope that they become more flexible with time. Won't be ordering these again. What a waste. :(

These Boots are so fabulous - I purchased 3 pair in different colors. Very supportive and sharp-looking worn with Levis.

Great boots, reasonably priced,
This review is from: Timberland Women's Nellie Premium Ankle Boot (Apparel)
I had been looking for a pair of boots that were waterproof & warm but weren't really expensive. I also didn't want something that was going to make my feet look really big and clunky. These are just what I was looking for. Honestly, they are not the most comfortable boots I have ever had, but the more I wear them the better they are getting. They keep my feet warm and dry at my kids soccer games (which is why I wanted them in the first place). So far (I have had them for about 6 weeks), I am extremely happy with my purchase.

This is not the first time I have purchased this item and somehow I did not feel these boots were of the same quality.
