First, I LOVE Timbuk2 bags. I have a laptop bag, wallet, and I got my wife a custom purse from Timbuk2. I love the feel of the quality, the robustness, the fit, form and function of their bags.

The Arnold gym bag is well made like all Timbuk2 bags. However there are some shortcomings:

1. Overall bag size just a tad too small. I wear a size 12 shoe. I can just squeeze a small towel, my shoes, a pair of shorts, t-shirt and socks into the bag. Leaving enough room for my Black 28 Oz. Blender Bottle W/wire Shaker Ball in the outside pocket and a small plastic container to make a protein shake.

2. There is no small outside zippered pocket to store your gym card, MP3 player/Cell phone, etc. The two outside zippered pockets I believe are supposed to hold your sneakers, but mine don't fit in there unless I fold them up.

3. My other Timbuk2 bag came with a padded shoulder piece. None here.

4. There is no waist strap if you want to ride with this on your bike to prevent it from swinging around.

That said, none of these are bad enough that I'm going to return the bag. It just takes careful packing of the bag, which I do the night before so I am not rushed. The amount of normal forethought that goes into the their bags just seems to have been lost on this one.
