Sturdy - smaller than i thought, but it makes up for it - gunmetal is darker than the pic - only improvement: the reverse side should also be reverse for the design (it's just black - I <3 black - but still, design, reverse design)

I purchased this bag because I wanted a sturdy waterproof bag to do my grocery shopping. I also read in the description that "Timbuk2 still manufactures its custom bags in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District". This influenced my decision to purchase the bag, since I know that there was a problem with some bags made in China with lead in the materials. When I received the bag I looked and looked for a label indicating origin. Finally I find one deep in the inside pocket, that it you really tried you could read "made in Philippines". If a company is deceptive about where the item is made, why should I trust them about the safety of the materials used? The bag has a bit of an odd chemical smell. Needless to say I am returning bag.
