This is an excellent cover for the Kindle Touch. First I tried a leather, fold-over cover, and decided I liked the slim, sleek feel of the bare Kindle in my hands while reading. This led to the search for a perfect envelope-style case.
The memory foam feels soft, and has plenty of give, but still cushions the device quite well with some "body" to it. I do wish it had a firm (cardboard/plastic) insert on at least one side to further protect the screen, but the foam seems to be doing the job quite well.
The lining is a very plush, soft, fuzzy material. It feels quite luxurious (a word I never thought I'd use in a review for a ballistic nylon e-reader case). The first few days, it left black fuzz on the screen every time I took the Kindle out, but that has long since passed. The liner material is a magnet for dust, but nothing I can't live with.
The velcro is strong and sure, I have no worries about it coming open unintentionally, even in my briefcase or messenger bag.
The only real negative I can think of is the size (and, again, maybe the lack of a firm panel). Even on the Kindle Touch, the fit is a bit loose. I can imagine the $79 Kindle would probably be swimming in this case. But it doesn't seem to affect function so I won't dock it a star just for that.
Overall the case is a great accessory for the Kindle Touch, and I feel better knowing my reader is in it than floating around unprotected.

At first look, this is a great cover to protect the Kindle (will be a Touch when they ship) while not in use. The outside is a nice ballistic nylon, the inside fuzzy material should be very kind to the outer finish on the reader and not scratch the screen. To me, the memory foam padding seems like a much better choice than the "bouncy" foam rubber that is more standard - it gives when pushed firmly and returns a bit slower which should help keep a dropped item from bouncing around and simply cushion the landing.
With a deeper look (waiting on the Kindle Touch with only this cover to play with), it becomes obvious that there are only the above three layers to the case. Outer ballistic nylon, memory foam padding and inner fuzzy material. There are no hard inserts on the sides to protect the screen from anything pressing in a concentrated area. Say you have the Kindle (in the cover) in a backpack with some books, then you drop some keys in which land between the Kindle and the books. The keys will easily put pressure in a concentrated area that the Timbuk 2 cover will do little to keep the screen from cracking. Hopefully, this does not turn into a problem.
I did find that Timbuk 2 has quick customer service as an e-mail was sent to them asking about how the Kindle in a lit cover would fit into this sleeve. Sadly, they said that the sleeve is a tight fit around just the Kindle Touch with no extra room.
