I purchased my wife a 64gb Ipad2 recently, and decided i wanted to keep it slim when looking at protective accessories.
To accomplish this task, i simply purchased an apple Smartcover for the front. Obviously, most people are aware that the Smartcover does not protect the rear of the Ipad, so i supplemented the Smartcover with a custom made Zagg.com rear skin with a picture of our two babies. These two accessories together kept her ipad2 with an extremely slim profile.
These items are great for around the house use, but I wanted to make sure my wife could bring her $900 toy out into the real world and have some peace of mind. That brings me to this product:

Timbuk2 ipad plush sleeve (Village Violet/Barley)-->
Materials - The case itself feels extremely well built. The stitching is tight and it has a nice feel to it. The case closes with three velcro pieces. Short of skydiving while holding this thing above your screaming head, its not gonna accidentally come open.
The photo on the amazon listing shows the diamond pattern. I initially thought this was just cosmetic design, but it is actually the diamond shaped memory foam pieces inside the lining. The pieces feel very solid, and although i haven't tried throwing the contained ipad into the ground yet, i feel 1000 times more confident that it will come out far healthier than without it.
There is plenty of room inside this case to accommodate less slim accessories on top of the ipad2. Initially i thought that the sleeve was perhaps too bulky, but i think that any less padding would result in a better cosmetic looking sleeve, that wasnt going to be functionally protective.
In summary, this is a great sleeve to stick in a backpack, briefcase, or large purse and forget about any need to baby the ipad2. This is a well designed product, with a sharp look, and performs as advertised.
