I HAVE BEEN USING ALMANACS FOR THE LAST TWENTY YEARS AND I'VE ALWAYS REGARDED "TIME" TO HAVE THE EASIEST AND MOST EFFICIENT IN THEIR ENTRIES.
I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT I CAN'T OFFER THE SAME COMPLIMENT ON THEIR LATEST RELEASE(2008).
HAD I KNOWN THAT THEIR FORMAT IN THE REFERENCE LAYOUTS WERE CHANGED TO THE POINT WHERE A LOT OF INFORMATION WAS REMOVED FOR WHATEVER REASON THE PUBLISHER HAD IN MIND I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED ANOTHER PUBLICATION.NEXT YEAR I WILL CHOOSE WISELY.

Powered by Encyclopedia Britanica, the Time version of an almanac is outstanding.

Nearly 1,000 of very readable pages - the larger font style and layout is a plus - is bolstered by an outstanding insert of color photos and maps. The insert alone is worth the price of the book.

The index is not cluttered with too many headings, which helps when seeking information. And the standout section is the year in review, which encapsulates major topics with a journalistic touch.

There are several almanacs on the market, but it is time - if you haven't done so already - to make a change to your yearly purchase to this great publication.

Recently ordered 4 of Time's 2008 almanac. Price was substantially lower than Publisher's list. Book is fantastic for research.
