Don't be confused - the band has nothing to do with acid-rock (Jefferson Airplane), it's very much in the same mood as "Rare Bird", and, especially "Sandrose"Sandrose (also with female vocals, also from 70s, and also worth buying). Add "Analogy" as well - if you'll find it.
The band was created by Julian Savarin (born in Dominica; vocals, organ, mellotron) who was joined by an outstanding Australian singer Cathy Pruden, John Dover on bass, Jack Drummond (drums) and Del Watkins (guitar, flute).
Most regretfully the album didn't get proper support from the label (as usual, since most record label executives have no brains at all - with few exceptions)and the group disbanded.
Later on J.Savarin recorded another album, now as JULIAN JAY SAVARINWaiters on the Dance - also worth buying.
This album was previously available on Italian "Akarma" label only, but the new release with bonus tracks is a real gift.

As already pointed out by others, the ONLY thing in common between this band and Jefferson Airplane is that the lead vocalist is female. But she has a very different voice and the instrumentation on the album, and the music style, are COMPLETELY different. Where JA is really based on folk and blues, this music is absolutely unbluesy. More classical-based I would say, and more in common with the typical British guitar-organ prog bands from 1969-70. It doesn't always work, but to me this an album worth getting. But you really need to listen to more than just 30 seconds of each song to judge this album fairly...

This is a great prog-rock band from the 70s' don't let the below review mislead you, this band sounds' nothing like Jefferson Airplane, I would say it's closer to Rare Bird. The music is very dynamic, great mellodies, and with an impressive female vocalist! Enjoy!

If Jefferson Airplane styled psych-rock is your thing than this might interest you, as a decent amount of elements persevere whilst the rest fell away.

So some people are aware of obscure "prog rock" bands from the 70's and they spin that into some kind of self-made club for alleged aficionados of prog rock. What else is new? People often make it sound like they have the inside track.

This band sounds stuck in the late 60's. The music is pretentious. The drummer is simplistic and there is waaaaay toooo much organ. If you like droning organs and drums breaking out while the vocalist tries to sound important then this is for you. This crew doesn't hold a candle to Yes, King Crimson, or the Mahavishnu Orchestra. It is not even close.
