5.0 out of 5 stars a lot of fun
So, where has rock like this been all my life. Buckcherry, Time Bomb. A refreshing album, an album that is simply a lot of fun. With the exception of a few ballads, which are good in their own right, Buckcherry rocks out for the entire album without stopping. I mean it's just endless, straight-ahead, driving rock. There are no synthesizers, no machines, no stupid...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pleasing sophomore effort
A good rocking album that is fun to listen to. Unfortunately that's all it is. I was half expecting a classic to follow up the incendiary debut album, and haven't really felt an urge to listen to this for a while. It's not bad, just a slight disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars a lot of fun, October 2, 2001

So, where has rock like this been all my life. Buckcherry, Time Bomb. A refreshing album, an album that is simply a lot of fun. With the exception of a few ballads, which are good in their own right, Buckcherry rocks out for the entire album without stopping. I mean it's just endless, straight-ahead, driving rock. There are no synthesizers, no machines, no stupid records being scratched, and no rap-metal, borderline, does not know which way to go [music]. Just rock from start to finish. The drums are pounding, the riffs are loud and endless, and yes lead singer Josh Todd does scream the whole time, but that is what makes this album so great and what makes Buckcherry- well Buckcherry. The band is at its best when it's totally rocking out. It's just rock. Think Chuck Berry. And maybe that's where Buckcherry got their name. Wouldn't surprise me. The whole album is excellent. On this album, screaming is very good. It's always there for me when I just need to let loose and have fun. Sure, the lyrics are not profound, but I doubt they were meant to be, and with songs that sound so good, they don't have to be. That's not what Buckcherry is all about. So, for once, let go of your anger and fear and sadness, and have fun with Time Bomb. We all need to do that sometimes. It's theraputic.

5.0 out of 5 stars TIME BOMB is going to eplode Big Time!!!!, April 21, 2001

Buckcherry returns from a Gold debut to a vastly superior cd. It is perverse, sleazy, erotic, smart, dirty, hook-laden, big chorussy, violent, romantic, party anthems, introspective. What more can you ask for?

The songs are either fast and dirty or slow and beautiful. The lyrics run from suicidal to lovey-dovey. The hidden track will make you cry and "PORNO STAR" will make you .....!

"Whiskey in the Morning" is brilliant and 'A Place In The Sun" is moving, trying and creepy.

All in all a tight record you can play at a party...alone..or with that "special someone" (read PORNO STAR description).

Brilliant and a welcome change to mopey alt rap rock.

Thank God for BUCKCHERRY!!

5.0 out of 5 stars They're back in 05'!, August 26, 2005
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
this album is awsome, it is really good, just as good as their first one, if not even better. It seems that they had a few more "ballads" then what they did on their first one but the ballads are good. Musically, its better then their first! but I recommened them both because both are awsome albums. But the really big news is that they're back together in 05'(atleast Josh Todd-Vocals and Keith Nelson-Guitar) I've heard their new single "Crazy Bitch" today and I must tell you that they're even better! their new album "15" hits stores October 11,2005 go get it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Metal, April 26, 2001
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
Buckcherry is pure metal in the style of vintage Guns n Roses and AC/DC. Time Bomb is their sophmore release and it is an amazing album, and it shows that not all bands around today have no talent. This album is very raw and rockin' but the songs are very well written and performed. On this album they managed to expand on the sound of their first album but still stick to what they know. This album is full of upbeat metal songs such as Frontside, Porno Star, Underneath, Slammin', Slit My Wrists, Fall, and the first single Ridin'. There are also a few slower ballad like songs such as, (Segue)Helpless, You, and the hidden song. In my opinion the best song on the album is the rocker Whiskey in the Morning, this is such a great song. For fans of non polised straight forward metal this album is for you, but for anyone else you should check it out but no guarentees you'll like it

5.0 out of 5 stars Good old rock and roll is back!, April 11, 2001
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
In a time when boy bands and rap dominate the music scene, Buckcherry gives us hope with their new album "Time Bomb". Every song on this album rocks! I bought it the day it came out and listen to it everyday. I'm not gonna pick apart every song and tell you how great it is, just buy the album and see for yourself. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed. Also, if you get a chance, make sure you see these guys live, they put on one rockin' show!! Buckcherry rocks!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Time Bomb Explodes!, March 30, 2001

Buckcherry have done it again! Their self titled debut hit gold and Time Bomb is sure to hit platinum. From the hard rocking Front Side, Time Bomb and Porno Star to the softer, melodic, Helpless and Without You this album will leave you feeling like you've just been rode hard and put away wet. The guys are rocking harder than ever. Joshua Todd's songwriting is outstanding and his vocal delivery is amazing on every track...but it's especially evident on the stark, gorgeous hidden track, Open My Eyes. What a surprise! Hands down, he's the best out there right now. The dual guitar assault from Yogi and Keith really adds a lot to this record and the rythem section is tighter than before. Devon Glenn may just prove to be one of rock's finest drummers. Simply put, Time Bomb defines Sex, Drugs and Rock n' Roll. Get it today, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rock Masterpiece, March 27, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
I can't believe how good this sophomore release from LA's Buckcherry is! The lyrics and music perfectly combine and result in unbelievable rock music. So glad that rock isn't gone. "Porno Star" and "Ridin" rock so hard and there are even a couple of ballads that are incredible! They are the most under-rated band out there today. I hope this CD gives them the recognition they deserve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh air with a familiar scent, March 27, 2001
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
When all is said and done, 2001 will have given us the best of the best in the world of music, with all the heavy hitters taking their best shot at being music for the new millenium. Who would've thought that the best album of the year could come from Buckcherry? I really enjoyed the first album, slowly getting attached to a different song with every listen. But Time Bomb starts where the first left off, and basically leaves it in the dust. Pumping, grinding, liquid and melodic, this record IS sex. It swings in all the right places, and when it slows it's pretty, but only as a hiccup bewtween the swagger. I've waited for this album for a while, but i didn't expect it to be this good. Beginning to end, it swings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Timebomb blasts away the crap, May 3, 2001
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
I have been very disgruntled lately, my problem--there is no new rock bands that actually have fun. I miss this. I look at the current rock scene and it is just full of spears and syncs, and i just keep praying that they go away, but my prayers are ignored.

Then I bought Timebomb-the new release by Buckcherry, and let me say it is amazing. Todd and co. had me doing something i haven't done since 1995 and that is headthrashing. I actually had fun listening to music again.

The album isn't just fun, it has well written lyrics and music. put simply the album just rocks, literally.

There is at least 9 incredible songs, on a cd of 12, in the past five years that is an amazing feet. (And don't get me wrong the other 3 still rock.)

The best songs are:

frontside ridin porno star place in the sun helpless underneath slit my wrists you fall

and the awesome hidden track...

This is a definate must have for any music lover who misses rock when it was rock.

5.0 out of 5 stars So sad that they broke up....., September 8, 2004
This review is from: Time Bomb (Audio CD)
This album blows their first album out of the water. I've loved this album from the first time that I heard it. I'm just glad that Josh Todd put out a solo album (which is the best album of 2004 IMO) so us Buckcherry fans wouldn't completely be left out in the cold.
