Good grief, why did that little line at the start... "without editorial input' not warn me?

Sure the top writers around the world need editors, but this work is so perfect it doesn't?

The grammar and spelling mistakes littered through the book are atrocious. Even some of the worst fanfiction writers manage to run spell-check.

Then a character arrived with 'violet eyes', a fanfiction favourite that should have sent me running to the hills.

I like the idea of bringing fantasy into the grittier parts of Britain, but everything else here has been done to death. Villains laugh hysterically; heroes stand dramatically shouting 'NO!' to the horizon; everyone is extraspeciallysuper beautiful and handsome.

This book was recommended to me by a good friend...Although I am usually not a reader of fantasy, this novel drew me in within moments. The perfect balance of mystery and fantasy was an absolute pleasure to read. I found myself staying up late in to the night.....I couldn't get enough. Before this book I was a big reader, but not of this genre....Polly Lewis made a fan out of me. I am hoping for a sequel, so that I can continue the magical journey.

Wow, this is an excellent read, i was recommended this book by a friend, its not what i usually read as i'm a non fiction reader but this book got me.

Its beautifully written and keeps you engrossed, the description of the characters and events were so real that i was automatically spiraled into the different worlds and the events that happened within. Its a book that you dont want to put down and keeps you longing for the Time of the Changing,
I cant wait for the sequal.

I am sure this new author that has sprung out of the south of England has the vision, talent and extrodinary imagination to be a top seller.

I was loaned this book by a non-fiction writer friend. After several Chapters I decided to come to Amazon for my own copy. This book by Polly Lewis totally captivated me.
Her visions and depictions of the eternal battle of good vs evil,left on the shoulders of an innocent little girl, were so engrossing I wanted my own personal copy.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy being taken on a tremendously imaginative journey which takes you gently through a beautiful dreamlike world,then suddenly pulls you into a sinister and dark world of evil and deception. I truely enjoyed Lewis's ability to keep the book in my hands,far past my bedtime. Exceptional work by a new fantasy writer.I will definately be buying her sequel.

I really enjoyed reading this book, couldn't put it down! A classic story of good versus evil, with ingenious twists thrown in! loved it, can't wait for the next book!

This story has it all love,hate,revenge,humour,fear, it takes you from here to far away lands,from humans to magical creatures.
I could not put it down just had to know what whould happen next with all its twists & turns this is a fabulous first novel from polly lewis.
I enjoyed it so much i've read it twice already & i'm hoping that i wont have to wait to long for her next fantasy novel because i've read the likes of james clemens,terry brooks,jk which i love all of & this author has that sparkle for storey telling thats just fantastic,need i say more than just go read it brilliant.
