5.0 out of 5 stars One of the great adventure games of all times!
Hey, I saw people saying that the graphics are bad? C'mon, people, considering the time the game was made, the graphics are excellent! It's technology evolution. You can't compare a game made in 1996 with something fresh, made last year or this year, like Call Of Duty, Counterstrike, Rayman 3 and so on.

But back to the game, the story are great, the battles are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy three, almost four.
The game is fun, and there is a bit of comedy to it. There are four attacks you can use for each weapon, and you can go to the following time periods:

Pre-history
Roman
Japanese Middle Ages
European Middle Ages
Conquistadors
Wild West
Modern Days
Future
BEYOND TIME!
PROS:
Good fun
Comedy

CONS:
Can't go...

But back to the game, the story are great, the battles are epic and the soundtrack and Fx are brilliant! A great Activision classic, specially for me that are a great fan of fiction, time travel, and so on! If you like adventure games, I'm sure that you'll have a great time playing this classic!

4.0 out of 5 stars great gameplay, great arsenal, December 3, 2002
This review is from: Time Commando (CD-ROM)
even though the graphics arent something you'll see on an xbox or gamecube, it still has what half the ps2 and xbox games dont have, stability and good gameplay. unlike similar games, when you attack, you dont fly off the hook with combos, just a simple left or righthand punch or a kick. and its kinda hard to move but it gets you there without falling off a cliff for walking too fast, for example. also you have a wide variety of weapons that change in each time period, for example, in prehistory you get rocks to throw, a club, a spear, etc, while in the wild west you'll have a revolver, a shotgun, and dynamite, and in the future you'll have a blaster, an arm autofire blaster, and a yoyo (believe it or not).

it has great vast level designs,(for its time) but you cant go back, if you move and the camera angle changes, you cant go back. and the last level, where you battle the virus, is kinda .............................................

but whats really kinda... weird is, how does killing people in different time periods help him to find a virus in time?

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite game as a kid, May 4, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Time Commando (CD-ROM)
This was my favorite computer game as a kid. Graphics aren't the issue here: this is an old game - you can't expect DirectX10 with something that was made in 1996 (or was it '97?). I would recommend this game to everyone, except that....

IT DOESN'T WORK ON WINDOWS XP, VISTA, OR 7!

There is no real way around it. I've heard that Virtual Machine can get it to run, so I tried that, installing my copy of Windows 98 on it, but I've had absolutely no luck. If you still have access to an older Windows OS, then you should be able to play it. Otherwise, you might want to get the Playstation version.
