As with its predecessor, things are kept deliberately simple. Playable either in story mode (which allows you to unlock extra bits of the game) or time attack, the guts are effectively the same--you point your gun at the screen and shoot at the bad guys. There's not much of an advance in the formula, but the momentum and the adrenaline of the original are here again. While we would have hoped for more from the next game in the line, this is very, very good fun. We just wish it had been a little longer.
One word of warning, however--if you don't have a light gun, Time Crisis: Project Titan isn't worth the effort, as it just isn't the same with a regular controller. But if you do own one, this is an overdue must. --Simon Brew

The first one was better.......,
By A Customer
This review is from: Time Crisis: Project Titan (Video Game)
I couldn't wait for this one to be released.....I was upset every time it was postponed, and when I finally got it yesterday for my birthday, I rushed home to play it. Well, it's not quite what I expected. The story line isn't nearly as good as the first one. It doesn't have an arcade mode and it should have included a 2 player option.....it would have made it a little better. The gameplay is incredibly slow (the bad guys all but beg you to shoot them) and it's so easy a blind person could finish it without a problem, you can fly through all the levels. It would seem that since it was postponed a few times they could have put a little more thought and creativity into it. It is a real disappointment. Take this advice...rent or borrow it before buying.

Man! You have got to get this with the GunCon!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Time Crisis: Project Titan (Video Game)
Namco has made several good games like Pac-Man and the Time Crisis seres for the arcade and home system. But, Time Crisis: Project Titan is the best of all games. Gamespot gave it a 6.4 out of ten but Its rateing was mostly high because of the fun of the GunCon and the graphics. The GunCon is a controller that you point at the screen and you shoot men. This game controler is very real looking and I would like to state that Namco says not to point it at anybody and not to bring it outside. Also to not modify or paint the toy in anyway. Anyway, this game is great fun and even though the game goes quick, your going to want to play it over and over again. Also there are a few differant modes you can play that are fun.

I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. I recently purchased this game, and it is "awesome!" I use my Playstation 2 Light Gun and it works great, and I only had to calibrate the gun once. That reviewer that said they had to calibrate their Guncon every 15secs, well that must mean your gun is not working properly, or your just a seriously crappy aimer! There are some guys on the edge of the screen in the distance that are sometimes hard to shoot directly, but just unload on them and eventually the gun will hit them. I love the new sequencing where you have the option to switch sides from left to right on one of the first "BOSS LEVELS", thats cool and really challenging too. Namco has made another great Time Crisis game, and its funny becuase not many people know about this game, and indeed it is worthy of the Time Crisis collection. There was one reviewer on here that said the graphics are horrid. Well, if you compare the first TIME CRISIS game to this one that is released in 2001 compared to the first one that was released in 1996 onto the Playstation, I would definately say they have improved on the graphics majorly since the first one, Buddy. The characters look better and smoother, and they move more like humans too, and fall better.
The story is kinda short, and I have not beaten or played all the way through to see if any hidden secrets get unlocked or if there is a hidden missions, but I am very pleased with this game, and I highly recommend picking this copy up for your PS-One, Playstation, and PS-2, PS-3. Its a great game and fun as hell! Thanks for reading
