Contrary to popular belief, Billy Ray Cyrus never "left" radio for television. Radio turned it's back on BRC long ago and all he has done is continue to turn out great record after great record, electrify audiences across the country with his energetic stage show, and spend a good amount of time acting.

If it wasn't for the acting, however, I'm not sure this album would've ever made it out. I'm sure happy it did though. Time Flies may be the best country album this year. Some favorites of mine are "Stand Still" (Theme of DOC), "I Still Believe", and the touching new single "Back To Memphis." It's a song that reminds us that although ABC and NBC aren't still sending all of their anchors to Iraq, the war is still going on and people are still dying. An added bonus is the acoustic version of what may be Billy's best penned song ever, "Some Gave All." Also included is a rocking September 11th tribute "Close to Gone."

Most albums that an artist puts out have only three or four songs that the buyer will enjoy and the rest are skipped. Not this album...All 15 tracks are great songs. I would recommend this album to a fan of music, regardless of genre because BRC is so diverse, he covers the entire spectrum on this album. Billy Ray Cyrus deserves to be heard and respected. Because everyone has their own opinions on music, there is no such thing as a guarantee. But, I GUARANTEE that Time Flies is the closest thing to being guaranteed a great listening experience as you can get. This CD should solidify all of his current fans and grab a few more new ones as well.

TIME FLIES is truly a wonderful album. Though I may be a bit biased cause I've been a fan for so long, I truly think this is some of Billy's best work since his original "Achy Breaky Heart" days. It's great to hear some of the songs from his TV series DOC show up on the album, in addition to an acoustic version of "Some Gave All" - which everyone loves! The new single "Back To Memphis" very solid as well. I highly recommend TIME FLIES to anyone who's BRS fan, or country fan in general. My advice is to go pick up the album!

I was so happy to see that this CD had the theme for BRC's new show "Doc", called "Stand Still" on it. I've been watching the show since the beginning, and now I'm hooked. I watch it every Sunday night. This CD is so great! I also love the first track "What Else is There"

This is a great cd. Been out for awhile but now you can get it everywhere because you could only get this from Pax tv. If you are a Billy Ray fan this is awesome. Some gave all Acoustic version is great just like all 15 songs on the cd.

OL' BILLY RAY should give himself a pat on the back! He is still here after 11 years of fighting to gain some respect in the industry AND he is deserving of it now, more than ever! This album was originally supposed to be his second album for SONY/MONUMENT but because there is not any artist loyalty anymore and everything is pretty much ruled by CORPORATE JUNKIES (who know nothing about music)these days, SONY bailed out at the last minute, so BRC bought the rights to his music and released it himself! Maybe SONY wanted to put all their firepower behind the DIXIE CHICKS...I don't know, BUT look at what that got them! HOW COULD THEY IGNORE THIS ALBUM? The album immediately gets off to a great start with WHAT ELSE IS THERE, a cool laid back but groovin little tune about growing old with someone you love and the general wonder and beauty of LOVE! Next up is BREAD ALONE and is a great midtempo country rock song about NOT taking for granted the needs of a woman. THE WAY IT IS and SHE DON'T LOVE ME are great little groovin country rock songs but the album really kicks in with I LUV YA...I can't explain this one, you've just got to hear it! I STILL BELIEVE is good but kinda sounds like I GO TO EXTREMES by BILLY JOEL! Some of the best stuff on here are the ones BILLY RAY had a hand in writing and HARD TO LEAVE is no exception. It is basically a blues, country rock, bar band song but is great! NOBODY is excellent and is another one written by BRC! TELL ME may be the most country song on here but has a hint of blues and rock as well and boasts some magnificent guitar work(as does the majority of the album)! STAND STILL and CLOSE TO GONE are worth the price of the album alone...some of the best songwriting BILLY RAY has done! The album closes with BACK TO MEMPHIS and an acoustic version of SOME GAVE ALL from his first album of the same name. This album really deserves 5 stars...that's how good it is BUT because of that, it leaves you yearning for more! The "WORD" out right now is that BILLY RAY is doing a gospel album for WORD records(Randy Travis just has a #1 song on the label) and he is also starting work on a very rootsy "country album" reminescent of TRAIL OF TEARS...AWESOME! He ought to do a BLUES ROCK, bar band album as well. Basically, TIME FLIES is all these projects rolled into one and that is why it leaves you wanting more BUT I guess we'll just have to wait for these next albums!!

If you are a Billy Ray Cyrus fan this is a must have every song on the album is great. I first heard alot of his songs from Time Flies in concert summer 2002. Also look for Billy's new album coming in October called The Other Side. i am a huge billy Fan since Some Gave All and have all of his albums which are great. Time Flies is just another example how great Billy is. Also you can catch billy's new videos on GAC.

Time Flies ROCKS!!! I LOVE all the songs on this AWESOME CD! TIME FLIES is a MUST HAVE!! BILLY RAY ROCKS!!!

Many country music fans--myself included--where somewhat offended when Cyrus left radio for TV. He may be a good actor--I haven't seen his show, "Doc," but I've seen a couple of bit-parts in movies--but first and foremost he is a country music rocker.

Like I said, I was offended when he left radio.

This CD more than makes up for it!

Cyrus returns to his rockin' side on this album. "I Luv Ya" is a flat-out rocker, with "Bread Alone" and "Close to Gone" using rockin' rythms to convey serious topics. "She Don't Love me (She Don't Hate Me)" is a catchy number about running into an old flame who pretty much ignores you; "The Way It Is" talks about a husband/father explaining to his family why he had an affair. "Time Flies" talks about how fast life passes us by; "Hard to Leave" is about those women who we all love, but know will lead to heartache. As an added bonus, we have an acoustic version of "Some Gave All", one of Cyrus's all-time best.

That's not the only ode to the past, though. There's also a mention of an "Achy Breaky Heart" in "Hard to Leave." If you don't know what song "Heart" is, then you were under a rock in the early nineties.

It is also nice to see some Cyrus-penned tunes on this CD, as his last, "Southern Rain," featured only two. His songwriting really is as good as his singing. He packs a lot of emotion into his words as well as his voice, and that makes him a genuine country artist.

So, if you've seen him on television, or heard him on the radio, or even have no idea who he is, this is still an awesome CD that you must have. "Time Flies" will fly into your ears. Ha, ha.

I somehow missed this CD when it first came out and I'm SOOOO glad I bought it. Every song on this CD is SUPER! Even if you aren't a BRC fan, you'll love these songs. What Else Is There is awesome as is Stand Still from his TV show Doc, Hard to Love, Back to Memphis and Love Ya....well they are all amazing songs. He shows his vocal range and talent on this great CD. He really has one of the best voices ever recorded. You'll be glad you bought it!
