4.0 out of 5 stars AAMBC Book Reviews, August 17, 2008
This review is from: A Time For Jonathan (Paperback)
A Time for Jonathan is the sequel to A Place for Ida that will surely keep you guessing. Author Patricia Richardson has the eye for details when it comes to creating a life within pages. Ida and Billy return in the sequel married with a son, but soon things go from great to worse and then the unthinkable. Their son Jonathan is without a doubt a trouble child, is has demonic tendencies. Ida believes he is cursed with demons from the family's past and tries to heal him with love from a mother. She soon fails pushing Billy and all of friends and Family away. With Jonathan getting worse Billy tries to take over with only Ida giving up on their son and doing the unthinkable. This story is heart whelming and I feel the emotions these characters were living. If you have read a place for Ida this sequel will keep you intrigued only to come to a screeching halt when the novel comes to a surprising end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sure treat!, July 25, 2008
This review is from: A Time For Jonathan (Paperback)
"A Time For Jonathan" written by Patricia Richardson is the sequel to the novel "A Place for Ida". This is a story that is totally gripping and undeniably enthralling. The theme revolves around Ida and her young son, Jonathan and the thought-provoking problems that escalate within the family.

Jonathan , a beautiful little boy is born to Billy and Ida. As a young married couple, they definitely have tremendous love for each other and are so proud of their newborn son. However, once Jonathan is enrolled in a child care facility, his teachers relate to his parents some very serious problems and difficulties. When these tragic occurrences take place, life for the Jasper Family rapidly declines - especially when Ida's mental capacity deteriorates and Billy has quite a few sexual rendezvous' and starts drinking heavily.

This novel will definitely capture the readers' attention, as well as entertain from start to finish.

4.0 out of 5 stars Where do I belong?, January 18, 2007
This review is from: A Time For Jonathan (Paperback)
A Time For Jonathan is the sequel to A Place For Ida. This is the story of Ida and Billy as they grow into adulthood. Billy has completed college and Ida has finished high school. They have gotten married and had a son Jonathan. Ida's emotional problems recur after she finds out that Jonathan has been acting out in school. She blames herself and tries to solve his problem on her own, until the situation goes beyond everyones control. Ida has been reunited with her mother and her father. They try to give her all the love and support they can. Unlike Ida's childhood Jonathan is surrounded by lots of love. The saga of Ida will continue through the life of Jonathan.
