A book to keep and savor...,
This review is from: A Time to Keep #15 (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read "Happily Ever After," which featured Lauren Taylor Samuels awhile ago. So, it was nice catching up with her cousin Gwendolyn Taylor in a "A Time To Keep." Gwendolyn, a celebrated journalist, decides to make a drastic move from her Boston home to the Louisiana Bayou.
Equipped with her day planner and timetable, Gwen's ordered and structured life comes apart when she meets Sheriff Shiloh Harper. (For starters, the man is FINE!) Little did she know her life would change -- so drastically. After their first encounter, Gwen nor Shiloh would ever be the same! I love the way Ms. Alers writes. She gets you so involved with the characters, you can't help but feel as though you know them. Her love scenes are touching, sensual and leave me yearning for more. Since this book features both stories, read "Happily Ever After" first, then "A Time to Keep." You'll enjoy them both. Thank you, Ms. Alers! Much respect.

Lovers on the Move,
This review is from: A Time to Keep #15 (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Rochelle brings back unforgettable characters as well as introduces some new and exciting characters. Whoever thought that journalist Gwyn Taylor from Happily Ever After would move down south not only move down south but fall in love with a man from the south at that. This story is almost like a fair tale with a little suspense and a lot of action my only concern is if you are a Hideaway series reader that Rochelle wrote a few years back then this story should almost seem familiar if not the same. Both heroines are reporters, in the Cole series the hero was a doctor while in A Time To Keep the hero is a sheriff, they both take place in the Deep South, both heroines inherit houses they move from north to south, and they both meet their heroes in a time of distress. In the Hideaway Series, she freaks when the homeless man approaches her at the café and in A Time To Keep, the heroine gets stuck in a ditch.
Other than the minor repeat of the story line, the book was a decent read especially being able to read the starting story or the plot setter. I should say she did her usual when it came to the hero he was simply the bomb. Ms Alers has written many great books this one could have been a better book had it not been for the repeat of the past book but I will defiantly look forward to Aler's next book.

This review is from: A Time to Keep #15 (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
As usual, Rochelle Alers has worked her magic and created another masterpiece. The characters are exciting and inviting. Alers captures your attention and does not let it go. At the end of the story, you wish that there was still much, much, more!!!!
