My 8-year-old son read this to me for reading but it just as easily could have been a science book. It had a lot of good information at a fairly easy reading level with great photos of ants. Includes their anatomy, social system, homes, predators and much more. Recommended for grades K-3rd. A Level 2 Time for Kids book.

This book is a fantastic, easy to understand, well set our resource for the classroom for my grade 2 and 3 students to use to learn about ants. It has fantastic photos and illustrations and just the right amount of technical language, as well as a contents page and glossary, to introduce the concepts of information texts for early learners. I only wish I had bought a few more to make a set...hmmm I might still do that.
