How is it that I ordered and received the same CD shown and described here (Time-Life's The Rock `N Roll Era, 1962), yet it has a completely different track listing? (I should add at this point that I'd ordered it solely because of "Let Me In" by The Sensations, a group that has yet to earn a compilation of its own.)
The remastering and liner notes are still top notch, but if anyone knows how this discrepancy came to be, please "let me in" on it! My CD has the following track listing: 1) The Loco-Motion - Little Eva 2) Twistin' The Night Away - Sam Cooke 3) It Might As Well Rain Until September - Carol King 4) Dance With The Guitar Man - Duane Eddy 5) Green Onions - Booker T & the MG's 6) Breaking Up Is Hard To Do - Neil Sedaka 7) Things - Bobby Darin 8) Sealed With A Kiss - Brian Hyland 9) Vacation - Connie Francis 10) Venus In Blue Jeans - Mark Wynter 11) Tell Me What He Said - Helen Shapiro 12) Don't Ever Change - The Crickets 13) Wonderful Land - The Shadows 14) The Wanderer - Dion 15) As You Like It - Adam Faith 16) A Picture of You - Joe Brown & the Bruvvers 17) Sharing You - Bobby Vee 18) Dream Baby - Roy Orbison 19) Sheila - Tommy Roe 20) Nut Rocker - B. Bumble & the Stingers 21) Bobby's Girl - Susan Maughan 22) Last Night Was Made For Love - Billy Fury 23) Let's Dance - Chris Montez 24) Love Letters - Ketty Lester

Lots of great tunes but.....,
This review is from: Time Life The Rock 'N' Roll Era 1962 (Audio CD)
This CD is loaded with some great early '60s tunes. There is one error on the label though. Track number 18 is Sherry by the Four Seasons and NOT Twistin' the Night Away. The display that comes up on my laptop shows this track as being "Twistin' the Night Away" by Sam Cooke. Other than this little glitch, this CD is well worth the price.
