Purchased Volume 1 because I am a child of the 60s. Enjoyed the album overall, but disappointed in some selections. Should not be included as folk music: "Gentle on my Mind" (that's country), "A Little Bitty Tear" (who knows how to classify that song), and "Good Night Irene" (that's old,big band stuff). Overall, however, it a a very good album.

Brings back memories of the 60's and a motor trip we took into the back woods of Tennessee. Loved the muisic, the people and the country. Thanks for the memories.

I bought this album as a companion piece to Volume 2, which I had received as a gift. It offers lots of memories to people of my generation. I enjoy looking back.

to bad that all these songs are on a better cd. but if you don't have any other folk hits it is worth it. I really have nothing else to say
