Book Description

September 26, 1996

New York Times bestselling author Barbara Delinsky demonstrates her incomparable talents for capturing the deepest desires of the human heart in this breathtaking story, first published in 1982, of misunderstanding, fulfillment, and love.

It is the ultimate in luxury and privacy -- a villa nestled amid brilliant sunlight and gently waving palm trees on a secluded Caribbean beach. There Arielle Pasteur hopes to find the solitude she desperately craves.

Instead she ends up sharing her sensuous surroundings with a man who sparks memories of a painful past she thought she'd put behind her. Devastatingly handsome fashion photographer Chris Howe seems like an overbearing, egotistical chauvinist. Yet behind the glittering celebrity façade lurks a tenderness that begins to soften Arielle's protective shell. But before she can trust him with her fragile heart, she must learn to trust herself.

This review is from: A Time to Love (Mass Market Paperback)
The plot is about a wordly photographer atrracted to this beautful shy vigirnal women. Some of the scenes remind me of 1950 love movies - dealing with the issues of sexual tension. Overall I enjoyed it even though a bit date

1.0 out of 5 stars Was it really written by Barbara Delinsky?, October 22, 2010
This review is from: A Time to Love (Mass Market Paperback)
Barbara Delinsky is one of my favorite authors. But I have a hard time believing she wrote this book. If I had read it first, I wouldn't have read anymore of hers. Characters not well-developed and one of the strangest things I've ever read - instead of "name" throughout the book, you have "id". So she whispered his "id". Very, very weird. If you are a fan, I'd recommend you skip this one.

She's a quick-to-speak, slow to think idiot character who is shallow and immature. He has rage issues, and has a Lolita complex. Another early Delinsky book I am DEEPLY grateful to delete off my Kindle!
