An extremely lucid and entertaining manual on a subject that can be tedious. Humorously illustrated by the author, it includes a good summary of pitfalls in the design process. This book can go a long towards meeting design deadlines, while still having a life outside the design studio.

This is a GREAT book-- if you are an architect or just ADD this is terrific tool-- the exercises are difficult, but worth doing, and his descriptions of the difference between "tame" and "wicked" problems--and how to approach each, is very helpful--I wish I had read it as I struggled through graduate school doing all-nighters and never having finished products.

I read this book years ago, and I'm still quoting from it today. I'm a professional network designer and instructor, and there are numerous good ideas in this book for folks who have to do lots of detailed, hard work, deal with customers, & not lose track of projects. Dr Mann also has great ideas about the general design process.

This book is very useful I am a student about to become a professional and it is already helping me definitely a book that I will always refer to. The book also arrived in good timing and great condition (almost new). Great service.

The information contained in this book was too general and self-evident to be helpful. I sold it to Half-Price without finishing it.

This book was written for a high school or college audience, not professionals.

If I were a student still in architecture school this book may have been useful. However, to a professional this book has little to offer.
