Now that I have really listened to the cd a few more times I JUST LOVE IT!
Amazon Customer
It only clocks in at a mere two minutes and fifty-eight seconds, but by God is it a glorious and refreshing change of pace from the rest of the album.
Mike Bergin
It's a good album, but I feel like all their albums are starting to sound similiar.

"Time of My Life" is the 5th album from 3 Doors Down and their first in 3 years. From beginning to end, this is an amazing collection of songs. The production is fresh and crisp, the lyrics are well written, the musicianship is awesome, and the vocals of Brad Arnold sound phenomenal. The cool thing about this is it shows a clear growth and evolution of the band while still maintaining their unique sound and ability to write great songs. Things get started with the title track, a high energy hurricane of pounding guitar riffs and effects that deliver with a sonic boom. "When You're Young" has a catchy melody with strong vocal hooks that draw you right in. "Round and Round" is a blend of guitars and bass that features Matt Roberts absolutely shredding the guitar. "Back To Me" is a power ballad that showcases Arnold's talents as a singer. He sings some amazing melodies that only a few people could pull off, and the result is pure bliss. The album closes with "Believer," a rocking, punk-influenced song that will leave you breathless and asking for more. Overall this is a solid rock/alternative album that any fan of the genre will love. If you liked their earlier music you'll love this one!

I grew up with 3 Doors Down. Kryptonite was my anthem when it came out and I was like 10 years old. As I grew up, I watched them grow musically. Now we have Time Of My Life. Does 3 Doors Down still have it after over 10 years? HECK YEAH!! It's the 3 Doors Down we all have come to know and love, but seems like they've added a VERY SLIGHT pop edge to their signature grunge/southern metal sound. But it doesn't sound bad at all. It actually sounds great! If you've been a fan for years or are just getting into them, I highly recomend this album. The best hard rock/grunge album of 2011. Hands down.

Not quite to the level of "Better Life", the songs are melodic, with excellent chorus'. I especially liked When You're Young, Heaven, Back To Me, and What's Left. Time Of My Life is a fine effort by 3 Doors Down.

I've been a fan of 3 Doors Down for many years, and I like all of their past albums 5/5 stars, but this time is different for Time of My Life, this album disappoints me just a little bit. I rate this album 4/5 stars, because there isn't one song I really connect to like I've on their previous albums. I know every band evolves after so long, but did they pick the right time to do it, this many years in their career? I personally think they're starting to sound more mainstream, and I don't like that much. Time of My Life is a bit of a change from their previous albums, this album is softer than their previous albums. I don't think this time around, that this album was worth the 3 year wait. This album is still good, but not great like their other albums.

I have been a fan of 3 Doors Down for a few years now and after purchasing their very latest album, I am definitely not disappointed. I love their sound, their lyrics, and simply just everything about the group! It is very rare to find an album that one enjoys listening to from start to finish but this is surely one of them! Every song is wonderfully done! The lyrics are captivating and the music is dynamically invigorating! Every song has their signature sound and the passing of time has added a pleasant new melody to their mix. Just wonderful! To put it simply, I love this album (and all of their others!!) and I love 3 Doors Down! Love, love, love it! You will not be disappointed.....

I have been a big fan of this group since their debut & they still sound great. I like the fact that every one of their albums has a different sound and feel to it. Time of My Life is no exception. From the power ballad, Back To Me, to the energetic track Believer, this album has a little bit of everything for the music lover in you. If you're a big fan of these guys, I highly recommend this album. You won't be disappointed.

3 Doors Down is a highly talented band capable of crafting good songs but in dire need of a change in direction. "Time of My Life" is a major disappointment from this fan who appreciates their work and has seen this band perform multiple times.

The same two song archetypes are basically repeated ad nauseum. 3 Doors Down are the kings of the slow anthem with the rising chorus. Examples include "Heaven", "When You're Young", "Back to Me" and the anemic poor choice for lead single "What's Left". Problem is, these songs vary from each other so minutely that you could almost intersperse sections from each into a single track without realizing they originated from different parents. These cannot compete with their older and better cousins, such as "Here Without You" or "Here By Me".

The other familiar 3 Doors Down pattern is the unthreatening, mid-tempo rock song such as "On the Run" and sound-alikes "Every Time You Go" and "Round and Round". "Race for the Sun" teases you with an all too brief guitar solo, effectively dampened by the droning of the rhythm section. "My Way" tosses in a dash of vocal effects, but this is like adding a mere ten granules of salt to your mashed potatoes. Their compositions just fade into the background like the tepid "She is Love."

The sole exception is the song "Believer" which shows that this band can indeed branch out when they try.

I would love to see what a different producer would have done with these tracks. I disagree with bassist Todd Harrell's pride in being a "no frills" band. 3 Doors Down, you know how to write a song, but please give your listeners some variation in your sonic landscape.
