Time Out is the best way that I know to find out what's happening locally (in Chicago or elsewhere).I took off a star because - I don't like all the inserts that are always falling out. (I'm a subscriber already!) - The change of address took a while to process - The iPhone app is expensive, and slow Those three reasons to take off a star don't change the fact that's it's the best publication for planning trips or recreation in your home town. Also, it's not too over the top with ads. It's more like a New Yorker than a Food and Wine.

Took a month for subscription to start, but that's probably standard. Great magazine for anyone who wants to keep up on Chicago happenings. Amazon does not make it easy to send this as a "gift subscription". Basically, you have to add a new address to your "Ship To's" instead.
