Editorial Reviews

Devour The Day define the future of contemporary rock. Blending a sound that balances power guitars with modern leaning programming, Devour the Day stormed onto the Active Radio chart with their debut single 'Good Man' - currently a Top 10 chart position with sustained airplay over the last 25 weeks of climbing the chart - and they have delivered a powerhouse of a debut record. Led by the creative/founding members of Egypt Central, Devour the Day is reshaping the rock landscape!

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't stop listening June 27, 2013
By Ejm
Format:MP3 Music
I ordered this album based on the song Good Man that is played on SIRIUSXM Octane all the time. I'm glad I bought the whole album and not just the single. There isn't a bad song. It starts off with some good hard tunes, rolls in to a more mellow phase with Good Man and Reckless, and finishes strong with Crossroads and The Drifter.

I highly recommend you read this interview to get a grasp on what you're hearing. [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Debut Album. May 14, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
After Egypt Central ended members Joey "Chicago" Walser and Blake Allison formed Devour the Day in 2012. Now in 2013 they have released their debut album. I just happened to come across this release a few days ago and listened to just one preview before I bought the entire album. And I am glad I did just that. The vocals are rock perfection, the lyrics hold meaning and happen to be catchy as well. Its a very solid rock album that starts strong and it gets better and better with each song. If anything this album shows Devour the Day has a long and amazing future ahead of them. If you liked Egypt Central or rock you will LOVE this amazing album.

I love every song on this disc. It is eclectic with some slow songs with good vocals and some good harder songs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Band and Excellent Album July 25, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Just recently I had an opportunity to check out Devour the Day in Indianapolis as they were on tour with Sevendust. I'd never heard of Devour the Day and wasn't expecting much. They totally blew me away. This band has an incredible presence and are super tight. I took the opportunity to listen to their album on an internet streaming service to see if the album measured up to their concert presence. Again, I was totally blown away. With a great show and a great album, I just had to add their music to my collection. The reason for a 4 star is that some of the tracks on the album (specifically Move On & Crossroads) tend to take on a Linkin Park type electronic sound that significantly deviates from heavy and driving sound found throughout the rest of the album. No offense to Linkin Park, it's just not what I expected having listened to all of the other tracks. Overall, excellent choice to add your music collection, my only regret...not purchasing their album at the concert and getting it signed by the band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Album June 11, 2013
By Braden
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
This is an awesome album. First heard "Good Man" on Octane and loved the song. So I looked up the album and love it. Every song has something different, its not just the same old rock songs over and over again. This album just gets better from beginning to end. Great band and hope to hear more from them in the future.
