Lisa McClowry is the pinnacle of what great music is. Her melodies and strong vocals truly, as one of her songs suggest "Comes from the Heart." Lisa is a very dynamic vocalist has such a broad spectrum in vocal range. You can here her tonal qualities not only in the studio but on the live stage too.
Her personality is truly genuine which transcends into her writing style. Her new cd 'Time Signatures' features a lot of new material. Every song is uniquely different and makes you wanting to hear more, from the ballad "Roses for no Reason," to the funky "Powerful Day," and the very heart warming "Come Dancing." The cd ends with "When it Comes from the Heart," a very moving song about putting the truth out there and receiving it return.
Lisa has previous music as well that is equally as great. She is currently working with Jim Peterik (Ides of March, Survivor); they are a songwriting force for the ages. Make sure you stop in and see Lisa's live show; it'll be one you won't soon forget. I highly recommend "Time Signatures."

I heard Lisa on Jim Peterik's Lifeforce CD and wan't to hear more. Here, I am rewarded. Lisa's voice with this music is magical. For listenable, jazzy pop, this is a CD you MUST have. Jim Peterik's music and their combined lyrics are really enjoyable - and addictive - listening!

Encouraged by the review in "Soul Patrol" by Earl Gregory of Lisa McClowry's album I decided to take a chance, as she was not an artist I was familiar with. I'm glad I did because it is an excellent album and I play tracks from it on my Soul Show ([...], 7-9pm Mondays). However, a word of warning, it is what I would classify as a "crossover album". She cuts across a number of genres and "all hats off to her"!

So if you don't mind that sort of thing then BUY IT!!! - I got my copy from Amazon.

Lisa and Grammy-winning songwriter, musician, Jim Peterik have collaborated on many of the songs. Each song is unique and will touch your soul in different ways. Some songs like "Roses for No Reason" are slow, soft to put you in a mellow mood. Others, like "Unconditional Surrender" and " Born Twice" will propel you to move it, move it!. It is a pleasure to recommend this to all who want to treat their ears to the music and lyrics of a versatile, lovely lady who is in love with her music.
