Book Description

October 1, 1999
Some things have gone awry in the sleepy bergs wherein William Kloefkorn's characters dwell. The unassuming title character of Newberry's Boy has been, for some time now, violating our most sacred taboo. The Pisser Into Clear and Faraway Streams refuses to die quietly. In Baptizing the Shirt a woman does what she can to bridge the irreconciable difference in her marriage. A paper boy in A Time to Sink Her Pretty Little Ship plots a singular act of patriotism.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Master of Poem Takes a Refreshing Step Into Prose, June 23, 2000

This review is from: A Time to Sink Her Pretty Little Ship (Paperback)
I've always taken a liking to William Kloefkorn's poetry. Being a Nebraska native, I've always taken pride in his writing. I'm glad he's decided to show us his skill with prose. These stories continue the Kloefkorn theme of humor, nature, small town living, etc., in a fictional fashion that resembles his poetry.
