you know i used to say i hated plantlife just to make my friends mad.
that was 3 years ago when i had a chip on my shoulder and thought that anyone having more fun than me must be a moron. i was critical of everything that I now love like, reggae, funk, soul music, alcohol, sex... but this is an album review not a therapy session so ill get to the point. i bought this album along with a copy off their last album and have been listening to them both nonstop. its great to hear the two back to back. this one sounds newer, i don't know exactly what i mean by that, but it has an edge to it. both are incredible but i like this one a little better. i definitely recommend it.

Wow. This sound is from another planet! I think Jack Splash came to
this earth from the same world as George Clinton, Sun Ra and Jamiroquai. At first I thought I was listening to just another r&b/soul album but then the mother- got cosmic on me! Track 15 is like astral projection or somethin. This is the best album I've bought this year, and I'm sure I'll be trippin to it for years to come.

[...] "Time Traveller" is the grooviest album I've purchased this year. For those who don't already know about Plantlife let me enlighten you: Throw Prince, Jamiroquai, and Musiq Soulchild into a blender with a bowl of cherries and hot fudge. Savvy?
"Time Traveller" is a little grittier than the incredible "The Return of Jack Splash" album but the soul remains. This music is top notched groove, it gets the body moving, the heart pumping, the loins shaking. Honestly, this is what I play exclusively now when I am getting it on. I wanna thank Jack Splash personally for all he's done for me and my love life. Great album!

All these popcorn wannabe R&B acts here take note. This Whiteboy is putting in down, taking samples from Cameo, The Isley Bros., The Jones Girls, Ray Parker Jr & Raydio, Al Hudson & One Way, Fatback and Prince with his own voice makes this a SOLID EFFORT. It is so nice to finally hear some new R&B that can actually be played in front of your kids & parents with no reservations. Get this album, you won't be disappointed.
