From beginning to the end, this is one of my alltime favorite records. His lyrics beautifully tackle the full spectrum of emotions that all of us experience. His singing and playing make this a beautiful, exciting record that I cannot recommend enough.

Finally, the song "New York is Rockin" should be the official song of New York and deserves to be played as a radio station and arena anthem.

In a related manner, check out the co-songwriter of the aforementioned song, Willie Nile. If you ever get a chance to see Willie or Curtis, do not hesitate.

This alblum swings from the bluest of moods to the grittyest of lyrics. You are allowed to reflect on past relationships and caused focus on the new ones. This is one I can listen to time and again.

I recently became familiar with the man and his music. He's so soulful in words and instrumentals. This is the second album I've bought, and I'm sure I'll buy more.

I bought this CD 10 years ago, drawn to the cover and wondering who the artist was. This CD is incredible. Although very commercial - it is very commercial JAZZZZY EASY listening. After all this time I can't stop playing it and everyone wants to know "WHO IS THAT?" . Since then, I've bought his first CDs and his latest. My heaven his style just goes everywhere. Has he put out a Christmas CD I've missed? I buy it all. He never does anything that isn't excellent. BUY THIS ONE.....CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY ARE SELLING THEM FOR 1 CENT PLUS FREIGHT? BUy it!!!

I purchased this CD when if was first released in 1995 and I had to buy another one so I could have one for home and one for my car. Everyone that I have had listen to this...loves it! Most had never heard of him and have since become fans. If you don't have this CD buy it. It's a great CD to listen to after a long day at work, very relaxing!

"Time Was", well: Curtis Stigers' good time was when he did the album "CURTIS STIGERS". This album is absolutely different. I have to say that it's very well played and all the musicians are good. But that's not enough to make good music. I mean, this is not the Curtis Stigers I have learned. The armonies and melodies of the previous album are unique. So, if you don't know this artist, buy CURTIS STIGERS instead of TIME WAS.
