This is a great journal to take to the barn, rugged hard cover, and great to sit indoors later and review! GaWaNi Pony Boy's books are so beautiful, and this one is no exception...his questions make YOU think...he doesn't just tell you about your horse...one he hasn't even met...but allows the owner to learn about their own animal. I highly recommend this to every rider who truly cares about their animal!

This beautifully designed book is a must have for any horse owner serious about their relationship with their horse. This is a first in the horse world and about time! A journal just for the horse owner, GaWaNi's intriguing questions helped me learn more than I expected....gorgeous photos, and PLENTY of blank lines, so that you can come back weeks or months later and document new progress. I was suprized at the reasonable price for such a high quality, hard bound book..makes the rough transition from barn to truck to home well!

I read the online reviews, and I was a little skeptical. But I'm telling the truth, THIS BOOK IS REALLY HELPFUL. I can't stress that enough. It's not just some dumb notebook with pictures inside (which are amazing by the way) it asks you questions that make you think about what never had occured to you before. It's not only a way to make you get to know your horse better, but it is a way to remember your horse forever if you ever for any reason have to stop riding him/her. You answer the question, and then you build on that. There's also advice and knowledge about horses within the pages. There's even a few pages that says visions, and you write your visions with you and your horse. There are so many books about horses, but finnaly this is the book that tells you about YOUR horse. You just have to fill in the lines. I am throughly enjoying this book, and think everyone should.

My husband bought me this journal for my birthday and I am quite pleased by it. It is a smaller hardbound book with the lovely photos by Gabrielle Boiselle that GaWaNi Pony Boy has used in his other books. There are lots of lined pages sprinkled with questions from Pony to jog your thoughts and provide a springboard for your writing. There is plenty of room to write comments and then come back and revisit your thinking later. It's a lavish yet practical book which can be taken to the barn and then brought home again to fill with your observations. It makes a wonderful gift for any horse lover.

This journal has the same beautiful photographs that were featured in Horse Follow Closely. It has some questions to jog your brain. But it is filled with blank pages. A pretty notebook or diary would work equally well and be less expensive

At tfirst I was surprised this was available, but WOW! this book by G. Pony Boy has really encouraged me to think deeper about my relationship with my horse, as well as given me a reason to spend some time with myself, which has really helped me to grow. The pictures and beautiful layout are a plus, and really guides you through a process of thought while adding your own writings - and I can add photos in here as well, a great keepsake, I am getting one for each of my horses :-)

I have found this book to be exactly what it says, a journal which Pony Boy asks questions to make you think of your horse and what you & they do. I find everything Pony Boy has written excellant and he is truly a master of horses and all living animals.

I was so ticked off when I bought this book. The title " A JOURNAL from the author .. . . " This is NOT a journal FROM Gawani Pony Boy - it's a blank book!! Waste of money!
