This is (I believe) one of his better albums. I has a nice blend of contemporary, urban bluesish, with a hint of raw edge contempo!! And lyrically, by far a NO HOLDS BACK! The Kaiz puts the truth of reality into a raw, definitive perspective! By far, the most "different" sounding album he has done to date (not blues, not gospel, not REZ influence, not jazz {"Time Will Tell"})...it is different sound delivered in such a way that way that only the Kaiz could do! 2 BIG THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!

I got this cd a few months ago. The cd wasn't quite what I thought it would be
based on a few soundbites, but I know it's a cd that I'll be able to enjoy for
years to come. The songs are not plain and simple. The songs seems to be quite
complex. Unlike some of Glenn's other songs, the songs don't seem to be as
straightforward as say a Glenn Kaiser Band song. While the lyrics stand out
in terms of a Christian message the lyrics and the titles demand that you give
the songs many listens to take in more and more of the meaning. All I can say
is that Glenn is doing some of the best music of his life outside of the Rez/
Resurrection Band. I always believed that Glenn's talent stood out clear and
plain in Rez and Glenn is now proving to me and probably everyone that his songwriting,
musical skill and his voice are even better than most of what we heard on
the majority of the Rez cds. I'm saying Glenn is clearly a genius with his
music and it could be argued that at times the direction of the Rez band
obscured him as an artist. Glenn's music brings God closer to me and I thank
God for using Glenn and I thank Glenn for his strong relationship and devotion
to JPUSA, to Rez, to his friends and family, to God and to using music to reach
other Christians and of course Non-Christians.

This recording is a simple expression of an artist's love. I was immediately struck by the quality of the recording. The music is mellow with a country flavor (similar to Rick Nelson with the Stone Canyon Band). The drums stand out but are not flashy. The object of the artist's love is Christ (which will probably turn many away from this recording). If you can't get past the artist's Christianity, you'll miss out on an excellent recording. This is a great example of what can be done with HDCD.
