I am atracted to scary stories,so I bought this book as soon as I saw it.At first I was thinking that this might not be as scary as it was said to be,but as I got further into it,I found that it was full of suprises.The main charecter Laura,is so well described that I feel as though I've known her my whole life.This is a fabulous book,and I recomend it to anyone who loves bone chilling tales.

The most wonderfully written book I have read in the last 5 to 6 years!! This is her best work since " Look for me by Moonlight". Which I also loved nonetheless. Everybody take a day or two ( believe me, you won't need it whit this book) and read this fabulous book that will surely go down in history!

I loved this book, though I got it by chance as a gift from my mom's friend. It might be hard to get a hand on, but it's worth it. There's a lot of suspense and I couldn't put it down! I agree with my fellow readers, it's the best book! *Thumbs up*

In this book Laura and her brother Jason go off to live with their aunt while their mother and father prepare for a divorce. While living with their aunt, Laura meets a strange old woman who claims she is a witch and can get her parents back together. The only catch is that Laura must take an item that belongs to her brother, her mother, her father and her aunt and give it to the witch.
At first Laura doesn't believe in magic, but when her brother gets mysteriously ill, Laura believes that the witch's spell really works. Now Laura has to find a way to break the spell before it's too late.

That book was great!! I couldn't put it down. I loved it, I reccomend it to anyone who likes exciting fantasy that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This book, if not neccessarily scary, is one of my absolute favorites of all time. I read it for the first time in 2nd grade, and have read at least 1 time a year since. BUY IT!!
