Release date: October 16, 2012 | Series: Timeriders
When a British computer hacker finds his name coded into a centuries-old manuscript, TimeRider Maddy recognizes it as the same message she had also been sent. Sure it must be communication from other TimeRiders agents, she sends Liam and the two support units back to Robin Hood's time to search for the fabled document-possibly the Holy Grail. But as a war begins to brew between King Richard and his brother John, Liam unwittingly takes on the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham and discovers that the mythical Robin Hood may have been another support unit all along. This action-packed reimagining of the Robin Hood legend, weaving elements of religion, alternative history, and time-travel ethics perfect for fans of The DaVinci Code, is a page-turner old fans and new ones alike won't want to miss.

Review: This is the third book in what is quickly becoming the hit Timeriders series, never a fan of young Adult fiction but always an admitted fan of Alex Scarrows work i approached the first book in two minds, would i feel obligated to like it, would it be too fluffy for an adult, would the language talk down to kids etc.. There was never that problem with the first book, the second or this fantastic third in the series so far. Each book in the series truly gets better than the last, the plot lines cleverer, the characters more depth, and the emotional connection with the reader stronger. I as an adult love these books, I have bought them for my son, my nephews and my god children all of whom love the series, and i will probably put a set away for my granddaughter for when she is old enough. These books are for me a set of books with a story that can be read and reread with characters any age can relate to. The best part of this series is that there is so much potential it could run and run forever, when you mess with time you can mess with history and the results truly fun. I for one would be quite happy to see this series run forever with its current quality. (Parm)
Book Description (From back of Book) Liam O'Connor should have died at sea in 1912. Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010. Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2026. But all three have been given a second chance - to work for an agency that no one knows exists. Its purpose: to prevent time travel destroying history . . . In 1993 British computer hacker Adam Lewis finds his name in a coded manuscript that is almost one thousand years old. How did Adam's name get in there . . . and why?... Confronted by Adam in 2001, the TimeRiders travel back to Sherwood Forest in 1193 to discover the origins of the ancient message. But when a strange hooded man appears interested in the same thing, they begin to wonder what terrible threat this cryptic link from the past holds for the future . . .Read more ›
we've all heard of Robin hood and admired him but we keep forgetting that he is a myth and it is possible that he did not do all he was said to have done and this book explores that fact and what would have happened if king john had been killed . liam is becoming a strong and wise young man and becks and bob provide a lot of laughs in very difficult circumstances. sal on the other hand is becoming a side character and sometimesyou forget that she's actually there, which i find a little dissapointing. maddy is becoming a leader and is finally given the importance that is due to her in this novel(according to me) adam lewis on the other hand is a welcome addition .He makes this story unique in his own way
Was a good book but I didn't read the first one in the series so it really took awhile to "get into it." Think it would have been even better had I read the first book.
TimeRiders: The Doomsday Code clearly outshines the previous books in the series. Filled with even more threat, more anxiety and more unbelievable twists and turns. In the beginning, I thought it would be rather boring being set in the times of Richard and John with all the farming and the Old-Angliah, but oh how in the second half of the book the author proved me very erong indeed.
This book muddles your mind up when it's wondering how the bloody hell things could possibly resolve themselves. Thankfully, the author finds the perfect way to tie the loose ends.
My son can't wait till Christmas to get it so he can begin reading it. Thank you, Alex Scarrow for continuing the series and helping to keep our kids excited about reading!
