5.0 out of 5 stars Bring this CD back into print!
While Kobialka's original compositions are interesting, the outstanding feature of this album is his half-tempo rendition of Pachelbel's Canon in D. A usually overplayed, over-hyped piece, Mr. Kobialka's version gives it a majestic yet simple beauty. I first heard the piece on NPR's _Music from the Hearts of Space_ radio show, and I found I could not hold a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Long Winded
Daniel Kobialka made his way into mainstream meditation music by reworking classical music (on one side of a cassette) and filling out the rest with his own compositions. I rediscovered some of his old albums in my collection and went through them recently, discovering once again that the reason I don't listen to him is that he bothers me more than he puts me at...

Wonderful, lovely piece, and *well* worth the price of the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Since 1988, and STILL one of my favourites., March 1, 2005
This review is from: Timeless Motion (Audio CD)
This was one of those tapes (and later CDs) of which most of my friends asked: "What's that called?!"

I first heard a tape in 1988, and since then have listen to it regularly and often. Now that I have acquired the CD, I find I STILL listen to it evry week. Still one of my favourites!

It has a serene and elegant, yet passionate quality.

Timeless Motion is an appropriate name for this delectable musical feast, as the music truly is that: timeless.

I have used Kobialka's Timeless Motion and Lullaby for several years quite effectively in my practice. I am a clinical psychologist and it is wonderful background for inducing hypnosis with patients. I have yet to tire of it.

I just had a baby naturally and appreciated the soft tones and quiet tranquility of this music. Even though I had brought other cd's with me, I kept asking to have this one started over and over. Perfect for meditation and not distracting, I found it to be just the right pace for my labor and had it playing as my baby was born.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect background music for relaxation/guided meditation, November 30, 2003
By
This review is from: Timeless Motion (Audio CD)
When I first heard this music years ago, it seemed too slow
and not energetic enough for me. However, eventually I began to wind down and discovered the ideal use for the extended Pachelbel: I recorded my own guided meditation and had Kobialkas music in the background. It is perfect for this purpose, creating a very safe space to let go of layers after layers of tensions.

this piece is stilling and doesn't distract one with the flourishes that are so beautiful in the canon for listening. yet when doing a guided visualization or evoking grief work this piece is number 1.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece while getting a massage!, June 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Timeless Motion (Audio CD)
This music is excellent while receiving a massage. In fact, that is when I first heard his music, while receiving a massage. After searching all the music stores in town, I had nearly given up hope. Since I am a "soon to be" massage thereapist, I really wanted to play this music while massaging my clients. Thank you, Amazon.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Relaxation Sounds, July 7, 2008
This review is from: Timeless Motion (Audio CD)
I just purchased a new copy of this album and was so happy! I had never heard of Daniel Kobialka until I was recently passed another CD of his, Pathless Journey. Both are astounding pieces of music that left me in a daze, relaxed and reflective. I couldn't encourage them more.

5.0 out of 5 stars evokes an image, September 26, 2002

As the winds of Love blow through the fields of the Creator and the Water of Life cascades down from the moutains of God to lite upon the field as drops of dew on the leaf so is a humble man who pears down through the ages. This music evokes such an image.
