5.0 out of 5 stars Her best recording to date
First off, I want to clarify any confusion that might be out there for Sarah Brightman fans--there was a US release (under the Angel Records label) of this CD titled Time to Say Goodbye. Like Timeless it has the same song count and content, only arranged slightly differently in terms of song order. So if any of you fans have Time to Say Goodbye, please bear this in mind...

3.0 out of 5 stars If you love Con te Partiro, then buy the ROMANZA CD instead
I read all the reviews on this album, with it's glowing 5 stars and thought that it would be as great an experince as hearing Sarah sing on ROMANZA with Bocelli. I was so disappointed with this album. I have loved her voice ever since Phantom was first released, and I have to agree with others that she has lost her angelic edge.I realise that Phantom is 10 years old,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Her best recording to date, July 22, 1998

First off, I want to clarify any confusion that might be out there for Sarah Brightman fans--there was a US release (under the Angel Records label) of this CD titled Time to Say Goodbye. Like Timeless it has the same song count and content, only arranged slightly differently in terms of song order. So if any of you fans have Time to Say Goodbye, please bear this in mind if you are considering purchasing Timeless.

Secondly, regardless of which version you see, buy it. This CD is absolutely stunning. Sarah's maturity in both song content and interpretation is profoundly evident here. Her voice is at its purest to date, perhaps the best example of this is Bilitis-Generique. Even though there are lyrics (albeit limited) to this song, Sarah's voice sounds more like a musical instrument than it does a vocal addition to the harmony. The mood evoked from this piece is absolute tranquility. If music could ever conquer stress than this album certainly achieves it better ! than any other, all forms included. The songs here are tightly interwoven. Her duets are powerful yet do not detract from the solo pieces. In addition, if Sarah is ever to get out from under the ALW shadow in the minds of her critics, than this is certainly the album that will do it. Her performance as Christine in Phantom, though stellar, seems light years away from the global talent making music on this record. To say Ms. Brightman sings on this album would be all too understated and too much a disservice to both her and the volume of work that is Timeless....

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, August 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Timeless (Audio CD)
I have been listening to Sarah since I was eight years old ( I am eighteen now; I started with the Phantom recording ). This is my favourite CD of all time. I first heard Con Te Partiro during an English presentation in school. When I asked my friend if I could borrow her CD, she send it to me in tissue paper so that it would not get damaged! Of course I immediately went out and bought it. Now, all of my friends and family listen to it. It is the greatest CD to listen to when you get stressed ( like, during final exams ). Anyone who loves music has to get this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is IT!!, May 2, 1998

If you only get one Sarah Brightman CD (which doesn't have a lot of Broadway), make it this one! From the first track, "Time To Say Goodbye", to the last, "Alleluja" from Mozart's "Exultate, Jubilate", Sarah's voice is spellbinding. There are no songs on here that are NOT perfect...each one sounds as if it were written with her in mind. Even though these aren't the Lloyd Webber songs for which she is better known, the sound is refreshing. If you enjoy good music, you will love this album!

"Time to Say Goodbye" and "Timeless" are of the same content. "Timeless" is a better quality recording, worth the extra price.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST CD I have EVER heard!!, June 5, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Timeless (Audio CD)
This is one AWESOME music CD!! Sarah Brightman has the best, most beautiful voice I have ever heard. This CD is a rare gem. There aren't ANY songs on this CD that aren't beautiful, and some will REALLY take your breath away (just watch out of you're driving and listening to these songs...) This CD makes me wonder what the heck I was thinking when I bought all those other CDs by other artists. Buy this CD if it's the last thing you do. If you like artists like Celine Dion and Enya, then you'll be FLOORED by the musical ability of Sarah Brightman. She's the best.

Their are not enough words to describe the sound of Ms. Brightmans music coming out of your stereo system. To say she has the voice of an angel is not adequate. She is the voice of Heaven! I have loved Sarah ever since Phantom but have never appreciated her as much as with this recording. Their is not one song on the CD that does not evoke every ounce of emotion from your soul. I think I have played "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "Time to Say Goodbye" at least 3000 times over. If I had only one word to describe this CD it would have to be "PARADISE". Now if I could only see Ms. Brightman in concert my life would be complete!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Heaven, May 14, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Timeless (Audio CD)
I am a 16 year old teenager from Ireland where hardly anyone listens to this kind of music. But I am addicted to it. My personal views aside; I would recommend this album to anyone who even remotly likes classical music. In my opinion song number 12 Time To Say Goodbye is the best on this album. I have never before heard two people sing together in such harmony. Some of the songs are a bit heavy, in a way that the inexperienced listener might feel lost, but if you appreciate classical music then this CD is for you.

This is the first alburm I purchased by Sarah Brightman -- and was I surprised when I played it!!! I fell in love with the diffirent style of arrangements. I have now become a fan of Sarah's -- and I have never done that in my life. I purchased a gift for my sister -- this alburn and her latest "Classics". It blow her away. Stop and listen to the samples, you too will be a believer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection, February 6, 2000
By
This review is from: Timeless (Audio CD)
I first heard Sarah Brightmans "No one like you" on a public radio station and was instantly captivated. Her crystal clear, perfectly pitched voice creates an almost surreal atmosphere of musical nervana in any musical format but most particularly on this cd. The lush orchestration coupled with her brilliant yet almost fragile voice presents the ultimate in a complete listening experience. Simply put, this is the finest cd I've ever heard, and Sarah Brightman simply the finest performer. Five stars aren't enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is among most satisfying music collection I have now., February 16, 1999

This is fabulous wakeup music, or soft soothing music for meal times, or late night relaxation. The wife listens to it each morning getting ready for work. I switch it out of our Bose home music system and play it in my XK8 on trips, etc. I recommend it for individuals and families that enjoy pure voices and inspiring musical presentations.
