Timelock the book that travels,

My son loved this book and had it read in less than 3 days. He has read the predecessors and loved this entire trilogy. Recommended for teen readers. We started this series because it was on my kids summer reading list and my son raved about it! Good job Mr. Klass!

The third book in this series I thought was disappointing in comparison to the previous two books. The previous two books even my wife read and enjoyed (who is an English teacher) and was not the typical book she reads. I at first thought that a different author had written this...it seemed like the style of writing had changed.

Eco Waste,
This review is from: Timelock: The Caretaker Trilogy: Book 3 (Paperback)
I have serious doubts concerning the efficacy of "save the planet" fiction. It seems to me that many a good story has been ruined when the author chooses to beat the reader over the head with an environmentalist theme. I enjoyed James Patterson's Maximum Ride series until they joined this trend and began saving rainforests, ecosystems, the spotted owl, you name it.
Sadly, David Klass seems to have jumped on to the environmentalist bandwagon. Timelock, the third book in a series, was great until page 200 or so when the eco-babble started in. The main character has traveled back in time to save the planet from sure destruction at the hands of evil men. Unfortunately, we discover too late, 200 pages too late, that the evil men actually did not need to do anything - humankind was destroying the earth due to - wait for it - global warming. Seriously, folks. If you strongly believe in global warming's destruction of the earth, why not host a 5K to raise money? Don't pollute the literary waters with your garbage.

maybe good story withouth the sex stuff?,
This review is from: Timelock: The Caretaker Trilogy: Book 3 (Paperback)
What is this author doing? My son really wanted to read this book; I bought the trilogy. Sometimes I preview the first parts of a book before my kid reads it, sometimes I don't. I was glad I read the first few pages of the first book! What's with the sexual content? Why does the author have to say that "the moon looked like a swollen sex gland"? (and that's just a morsel-there's also teenage sex conversations, language, etc). Even I, a 46-year old, don't need to read this junk in a book. Totally inapropriate and completely takes away from the story-at least I think there is a story, never kept reading. Returned all three books promptly.
