Beyond Ordinary Science Fiction
New Screenplay Describes Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Immortality in the 28th Century
KAOHSIUNG HSIEN, TAIWAN---Welcome to the 28th century. Author Dr. Charles Tandy will be your guide through this futuristic universe. In his new screenplay, Timeport 1: Truth Quest, Tandy goes "beyond ordinary fiction into a new genre."
A tale of time travel, sex, and cryonic hibernation, Timeport 1: Truth Quest steps beyond extraordinary anti-war stories such as Catch-22, Full Metal Jacket, and Saving Private Ryan. Dr. Tandy's new brand of fiction belongs to a new genre of writing: anti-death literature. In the words of the famous novelist Alan Harrington, "Death is an imposition on the human race, and no longer acceptable."
Tandy's adventure story includes the following incredible cast of characters:
„h DeeDee MacMurphy: 20th century founder of the cryonics movement; 28th century religious leader; is proud of her generous endowments.
„h Jesus of Galilee: religious leader in the early 1st century
„h Leesa Quine: 28th century Director of the Office of Time Travel
„h Miles: 20th century guide dog for the blind
„h Pierre Teilhard: French accented religious leader both in the 20th and 28th century
„h Sal: Seductive dancer in the 1st century; Jesus once asked her to marry him
„h Ursula Golding: talented astronaut in the 21st century; in the 28th century known for her miniskirts
„h Val Romero: Latin American police officer in the late 20th century; in the 28th century a renowned time traveler
While Timeport 1: Truth Quest is Dr. Tandy's debut work of fiction, he has been an accomplished scholar and teacher for many years. After receiving his Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education from the University of Missouri at Columbia (USA), Tandy became a visiting scholar at Stanford University (USA). He is currently Associate Professor of Humanities, and Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Philosophic Studies, at the Fooyin Institute of Technology in Taiwan.
