5.0 out of 5 stars Mostly for the series
I don't really remember enough about the books individually but I loved the series. I'm a BIG Gambit/Rogue fan, and there was one section in the third book I LOVED. But mostly I liked meeting some of the characters I rarely read about. The guy who's searching through time to find one where his wife lives. Or Spiderman and Bishop bonding (Now there's something odd!) I...

3.0 out of 5 stars okay novel
While this book is by far better than the next two, I still found it left much to be desired. The dialogue wasn't that great, the plot was cliched, and there were lots of fights... they're required, of course, but not that many. Fights don't work as well in novel form as they do in comic form.

But mostly I liked meeting some of the characters I rarely read about. The guy who's searching through time to find one where his wife lives. 4.0 out of 5 stars Well balanced adventure, January 31, 2001
By
This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
This first part of the trilogy has a good balance of story, characters and cameos. Yes, it is a story involving time travel and thus all the classic time travel elements are in the story. Some might see it as cliched - but I see it as consistent. The pairings of the heroes as well as the characters they encounter in the various time periods are well done.

One of the better novels involving super-heroes that I have read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time's Arrow Trilogy, December 6, 2000
By
This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
This trilogy was the first X-men or Spiderman literature I ever picked up, and it must have been pretty good to get me hooked on them. EVERYTHING was great, especially the characterization. I recommend these books to anyone just getting started on comics; in between telling a complete story, they manage to get in the back-stories of every main character, plus you see just about every minor character in the Marvel Universe in one way or another.

A very good book, I especialy liked the clever Bonanza referances. But i bought this book mainly because i was very interested in the third book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for Marvel comics fans!!!!!!, October 15, 1999
This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
The book was great. Even though it did drag on at times, they went to different parts of Marvel history and combined them with current, yet classic heroes like the X-Men and Spider-Man!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars great start!, February 1, 1999

This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
This was a very effective book, from the cute Spider-Ham cameo to the anguish of the Black Knight when he has to free Morgan to Spidey driving Bishop up the wall. And I liked that Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy didn't speak English! (Well, they wouldn't.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Ok plot, but not so great dialouge, July 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
Okay, the premise of the book was good, the whole time travel thing that DeFalco had going, but the dialouge between the characters left alot to be desired. But besides this, it was a rather enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good. Couldn't put it down., June 21, 1998

This review is from: Time's Arrow: The Past (X-Men & Spider-Man, No 1) (Paperback)
Very good book. Explains time travel very well. Most book have faults in them when it comes to the subject of time travel. One minor detail that I found was that when spidey and bishop are in the past spidey "saved" bishop from a plasma blast. However, bishops power is to absorb energy. Other than that one minor detail the book was seemless and brings you hours of great reading.
