About the Author
Eric Ormsby is the author of five collections of poetry: 'Bavarian Shrine and Other Poems' (1990), 'Coastlines' (1992), 'For a Modest God' (1997), 'Araby' (2001), and 'Daybreak at the Straits' (2003). Born in Florida, he has long been a resident of Montreal, where until recently he was a professor at McGill's Institute of Islamic Studies. Presently, he lives and writes in London, England, where he is a librarian at the Ismali Institute.
