5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff !!, November 29, 2005
This review is from: The New York Times Large-Print Crossword Puzzle Omnibus Vol. 4: 120 Large-Print Puzzles from the Pages of The New York Times (Paperback)
I bought a BUNCH of these large print New York Times Crossword books for my Mom including this one. She was ardent about solving them and felt they helped her in maintaining her mental powers. I would have to agree on that. The large print really IS large and seemed too big to me at first but they were easier for her to savor and work on at her own pace. They also have puzzles you can subscribe to and receive through the mail. I was surprized and delighted during a visit to see that she and a friend worked on them together. They're a terrific resource for an aging parent and well worth the price for the stimulation !!

4.0 out of 5 stars I like smooth paper!, August 3, 2011

I love these large print puzzles and enjoy the challenge of the different designers style from page to page. However, the first large print puzzle book I had was a joy to use as the paper quality was so great. White pages, smooth, the pencil wrote clearly and erased cleanly. Perfect! The puzzles in this book are challenging and fun but the paper- sadly it is scratchy old newsprint- ah.......disappointing.
