Book Description

It started out as something underground, edgy and cool. Then Sniper took it all too far and timesplashing became the ultimate terrorist weapon.

Scarred by their experiences in the time traveling party scene, Jay and Sandra are thrown together in what becomes the biggest manhunt in history: the search for Sniper, Sandra's ex-boyfriend and a would-be mass murderer.

Set in the near future, Timesplash is a fast-paced action thriller. Filled with great characters, a sprinkling of romance, and a new and intriguing take on time travel, Timesplash is ultimately a very human tale about finding bravery through fear, and never giving up.

Highly recommended for science fiction and thriller enthusiasts alike.

Timesplash is the first book in the Timesplash series. True Path: Timesplash 2 will be released in July 2013.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, fast paced book February 27, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The timesplash is a brilliant concept. Human bricks are lobbed back in time, the further they go, the bigger the mess - especially if the bad guys kill their own grandmas. The backwash is how the present is effected by the convolutions of time sorting itself out, and this can destroy cities if the lob is far enough. Sniper is an evil brick who wants to perform the greatest timesplash, essentially a time terrorist attack in London by assassinating Lenin before the becomes important. Can he be stopped in time?
Great book in terms of the fantastic timesplash idea and the pacing, although some of the characters were a bit stereotypical and 2 dimensional. Bad guys bad, good guys good, bad guys sadomasochists, good guys romantic... and I think the ending could have been a bit more open ended, leaving a potential sequel in the works.... but generally, a great fast read with some excellent ideas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hold on for a wild ride February 20, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I downloaded this book after contacting the author on Twitter (One of the many reasons I love Twitter). From the very first scene, I knew this was going to be something special. The concept of a TimeSplash is incredibly creative and the author uses just the right amount of vivid description to put the reader right in the middle of the action.

The characters are active and robust. They are developed through story, as they should be. I found myself cheering for Sandra and Jay as they faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

In short, this book is a great read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as great as the reviews make it out to be... March 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The best thing that can be said about TimeSplash is that it has a totally different perspective from most time travel novels. I love time travel novels, I have read more than I can count, and I can say that the premise of this time travel novel is truly unique. However, the characters are one-dimensional at best and the women characters remind me of pulp fiction or Robert Heinlein novels from the 50's.

I did finish this book just to see what happened. I don't feel like I totally wasted my time by reading this novel and therefore gave it three stars, mostly for the book's interesting premise.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read January 22, 2012
By greg
Format:Kindle Edition
Nice variation of the time travel story. This is a fast paced thriller with an engaging plot line. Some premises stretch credulity (even for sci fi) like a 19 year old girl who's spent her short life as a drug user and groupie magically becomes a gun wielding, ninja like fighter. Found the teenage love angst a bit tedious and awkward at times. Overall a fun read and engaging story - couldn't put it down.

3.0 out of 5 stars New twist on time travel February 22, 2012
By Sherry
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Downloaded this book in seconds after finding it in the Amazon Kindle store. It looked interesting and it was an interesting read. Time travel has long been a staple of science fiction but this was definately a unique way of using and looking at time travel. This book is sic fi, plus mystery / detective plus action. A few places in the book were sort of slow and began to lose me but things would quickly pick up. Well worth the inexpensive price and the time to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fast, easy read January 18, 2012

This was a fast, easy read, but I only give it a 3* for entertainment value. I thought it started off very slowly. It did pick up speed near the end. It was never a book that I couldn't put down & that is the only way I give a 5*.

3.0 out of 5 stars Timesplash January 20, 2012

I love science fiction but this left me a little disappointed. Good premise for a story. However, it read as if two people had written it, one a teenager and one an adult.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different time travel story July 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Truly a novel time story (sorry but I could not resist) that becomes better the farther you get. I thought it dragged a bit at first as if the writer was trying to find his way. If that was the actual case he sure found his direction and delivered as exciting an ending as anyone could hope for. I would have given 5 stars if the book began as well as it ended. Still a worthwhile read.

More About the Author

Graham Storrs was raised in the city of Hull in Yorkshire, England. He studied psychology there and at the University of Surrey in Guildford before embarking on a career in artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction research. Later in life, he specialised in software design and his career took him from the UK to Switzerland and, eventually, Australia, where he now lives in a rural idyll with his wife Christine and an Airedale terrier called Bertie.

Graham has always been a writer and published a large number of non-fiction pieces (including three children's science books) before focusing his energies on fiction. 2008 was a breakthrough year for him when he had his first science fiction short story accepted for publication. Since then he has sold many more stories and his début novel - a sci-fi thriller called Timesplash - was published in 2010. This has since been re-released by Pan Macmillan/Momentum along with a sequel, True Path.

Graham continues to write science fiction and is an avid reader of the genre. He devotes most of his time to writing now. He is an active blogger and Twitter enthusiast (where he goes by the tag @graywave - why not drop him a line?)

His latest novel, Heaven is a Place on Earth, considers the dangers inherent in a world reliant on augmented and virtual realities.
