This is a very nice fast strap velcro watch band. Looks great with the TIMEX Expedition watch. Excellent quality. I purchased a cheap knock-off at WalMart and was disappointed with the quality - very cheap materials and questionable stitching, and it was virtually the same price. Do not get the cheap knock-off, get this high quality band, you'll be very happy with it. Incredibly good price for this band on Amazon.

The description on this band says that it will fit 16mm-20mm case lugs. It goes on to say that the band width is 16mm. I received the band today and it is 24mm wide, which will not fit my Timex Expedition watch with 16mm case lugs. Amazon was great and immediately refunded my purchase.

I gave this real Timex Men's Expedition Watch replacement band 5 stars because it is exactly like the original, and comes with two new pins. I recommend that you first observe how the original band was installed, then copy that arrangement. Believe me, you can do it backwards, and it is mind boggling to unlearn the old habit as to where the location of the end of the band is located. Do it right the first time and you will save yourself a lot of stress. I also recommend you do the reinstall over a well lit table covered with a Turkish towel. This when the pins pop around, and they will, you won't have a headache looking for them. Timex watches do keep a ticking and taking a licking but after a daily swim for a few years a new band is required, this is the one I recommend !

I ordered this watchband with the description 16-20mm. My Seiko watch takes a 18mm band. When I promptly received the merchandise, the package it came in even said 16-20mm, but it wouldn't fit because the watchband was 25mm. Whoever packed these bands did a poor job. Very disappointed! There are other similar watchbands on Amazon that also state 16-20mm, but I am leery to order another one because I think it will be too wide for my watch.

I used to use these hook and loop bands exclusively, but I have migrated to simple traditional nylon bands instead.

The sport wrap works really well for a while, but over time gets less stable to the point where it is too sloppy to be comfortable or effective. It is in theory (my theory anyway) faster than a traditional belt type clasp, but I'm not sure that's really true once you get used to a particular traditional band - especially after a few months with the fast wrap when I tended to start "fiddle with it" to get it at just the right tightness.

I also lost a watch in the water one time while skiing when the force of the water just ripped it off of my arm. Granted, that's probably not your typically use scenario (nor a recommended one, I'm sure), but a simple nylon band would probably have kept it on my arm for what it's worth.

The strap is too wide for my Expedition Timex... I gave up and bought a new watch. Now what do I do with a strap that doesn't fit my watch???

It will NOT fit 16-20mm. It will only fit 20mm. It was too wide for my 18mm wide watch band supports.

Got this as a replacement for a Freestyle FS84888G, ably does the trick. It also includes an extra pair of spring bars (which surprises me a little, because I'd think those would come with the watch whose band you're replacing). According to another Amazon listing, my watch takes a 20mm band, and this 16-20mm band pretty much exactly fits it. (I actually am a little skeptical of this band working well for <20mm, without undue "scrunching" of the elastic band that slides through your watch's spring bars. But it's not inconceivable it'd still be usable with a 16mm watch.)

The big question now is how long the band will last. I had to pick up this one because the velcro on the previous band (that came with the watch, about 3.5 years ago) no longer adequately fastened the watch to my wrist, in sufficiently active sporting situations. I'll report back in a few years with the results. :-)

Actually, this watch band is of excellent quality, but the description and specs are wholly out of whack. It is advertised for the TIMEX Expedition, which is what I have. It is also advertised as fitting watches requiring 16mm to 20mm width bands. My expedition takes a 16mm band, but this band's width is actually 23mm and doesn't come close to fitting my Expedition.

This is supposedly a Timex brand replacement for the expedition. It is about a 1/2" longer than the original and I have thin wrists. To make it fit I have to adjust it so the Velcro tabs sticks up about a half inch. I sent it back.
