Buyer Beware, September 23, 2010
Ok, so it's a Timex. They're good watches. Nothing bad to say there. But...the white watch band stains within days (the watch is covered under warranty, the band is not). And it's impossible to bleach it or clean it white again. Ever.
This is a common problem with this watch. If you search the internet you'll see people complaining. On the Timex website, there are complaints and each one says "call us, we have a solution for your problem". I called Timex, their solution: buy another watchband. I asked if they made the white band in another material, the answer is no. So, their solution is for me to spend more money to buy another item that is as flawed as the item I already bought. Yeah, no thanks.
Therefore, this watch gets one star. Unless you like wearing a disclored filthy looking watchband attached to a stark white watch face, be my guest. Heck, you can have mine. But, if you want a watch that works and isn't an embarrassment to wear, maybe get this watch in a different color.

Perfect for casual use, but strap is discolored, December 27, 2010
I'd been looking for a white watch with not too big a footprint, and this one fit the bill. I'm a small-boned person and many watches don't fit that well. This one looks and feels great and luckily I didn't have any issues, as other reviewers mentioned, with dew drops building up behind the screen or with difficulty reading the digits. I use this mainly at the gym or while running outside, so it does get exposed to the elements and roughened up a bit. It's held up fairly well through it all. My only complaint is that the watch is not one color, as it appears in the picture. The strap is actually a bit off-white, while the face itself is pure white (it arrived this way, so it's not from sweat or normal wear and tear). This makes the watch look a bit cheap and can be distracting.

Looks and works great, October 6, 2009
My first attempt at purchasing a watch for my wife resulted in the return of a very attractive, but completely impractical, Fossil watch. She is completely happy, however, with the Ironman. The white resin band is attractive and gives it a bit of a different look than other sport watches. If it's anything like other Ironmans I've owned over the years it should be very durable under any and all conditions.
The watch is very easy to read and has more functions than my wife, or most people for that matter, will need or use. The alarm function is very useful, as is the back-light feature and the 2 time zone capability. Also, like other Ironmans, the resin watchband is not replaceable, so plan on using the watch until if falls apart (hopefully a few years) and then purchasing another.
