5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent timepiece!
I bought this watch for my wife and her marathon running, she absolutely adores it! Once we set all the calculations it's a flawless piece. We did all the measuring for walk, jog & run stride lengths and steps per minute for each as well (which is a bit painstaking taking up to 15 minutes of your time...a whole 15 minutes, geez) she never has to worry about it being off...

3.0 out of 5 stars inaccurate distance
Nice look .Great features.Pace and steps/min are only displayed while doing the activity. But I have tried the atomatic calibration 4 times in the distance that they recommend and I have NEVER gotten a correct distance after my jogs. Thinking of returning it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent timepiece!, March 28, 2010

I bought this watch for my wife and her marathon running, she absolutely adores it! Once we set all the calculations it's a flawless piece. We did all the measuring for walk, jog & run stride lengths and steps per minute for each as well (which is a bit painstaking taking up to 15 minutes of your time...a whole 15 minutes, geez) she never has to worry about it being off ever again...and me being rather anal I even checked distances against it on my bike, car and web, perfect! I highly recommend you do this for accuracy. Like Ron says..."set it and forget it!"
Now, as to what everyone else is complaining about..."too big" I just have to say "HUH"? Have you looked at watches these days? THIS is too BIG? Something from Alice in Wonderland is too big. It does have a large face, though no bigger than my sport or designer watches, I don't know what these sporty people expect to be able to read on a smaller face while jogging & swimming. You know this is for outdoors, right, not exquisite dining at the White House?
Other complaints seem to be "user error" not the watches, I don't see your reviews as helpful for or against.
My wife and I highly recommend this watch for runners who want to concentrate on your run and not counting or checking your watch. She's had several pedometers in the past and they all died quickly or were inaccurate that I though I'd step it up a notch for her with this, boy did I ever. She now says she enjoys her "worry free runs".

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Running Watch, January 17, 2009

I got this watch for my sister for Christmas. After calibrating it it has been very accurate and reliable. She is a marathoner and she says it is a must have for both training and racing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good value., December 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got the watch to run with and it has been great. It tells me how far I run on the back roads around my house. The only bad thing is you have to make sure you put the piece on your hip in the right spot or else you will get a different distance everytime. Other than that I do love this watch and it is a lot cheaper than buying a GPS watch. Very well worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, July 11, 2009

I have a small wrist, and I'm not sure what the other reviewer's wrists are like, but this fits me fine. Also, there are + and - markings on the face of the watch marking designated buttons that I can see easily (someone complained of no such buttons or not being able to see the markings, but how can you not have seen them, you mention them?). I think this thing is great, I'm not sure what was in everybody else's watch box.

This watch is so sleek, the band really makes this watch stand out. Its sharp looking for sure. I like how the watch has so meany features. Just ont eh face of the watch it tells you the time, day, and date. It also has military time which is conveinent. You can put two different time zones in it as well. The one thing about the pedometer I dont like is it doesnt seem very accurate, but I didnt buy it for that anyway.

3.0 out of 5 stars Timex Watch, December 21, 2008
Pros:The watch works perfectly.
Cons: The watch is much larger than I expected, I was disappointed with the color, its more of a muddy purple than pink.

Overall this is a great deal for this type of watch if you don't mind the color.
