The heart rate monitor features a 10-workout memory and five linked interval timers with target zones to allow you to measure your development as you train. Functions such as 'Average Heart Rate' that offer readings for your total workout and for each lap, and 'Time in Zone' with six heart rate target zones allow you to interpret your performance and set goals. The 'Recovery Heart Rate Timer' measures your heart rate after a timed recovery period during or after your workout, giving you further information about your fitness level. Additional functions include 'Percentage-of-Max Heart Rate Display' and 'Calories Burned.' 'Digital Transmission' protects your data from cross talk with other heart rate monitors and electronic interference from exercise equipment.
In addition to heart rate monitor specific functions, the Ironman Race Trainer comes loaded with functions to maximize your training. The watch is equipped with five variable intensity interval timers and a 100-hour chronograph with lap and split in large digits, allowing you to time yourself with ease and accuracy. The watch also features a 50-lap memory for each workout with average heart rate per lap readings. In addition, the watch has a 100-hour, three-mode countdown timer and three alarms with daily, weekly, and weekly with five-minute backup alarms for security. The watch is equipped with an Indiglo night-light with Night-Mode feature so you can read the watch and use its functions anywhere. A polyurethane integrated strap is comfortable for high-exertion wear and daily use, and the watch boasts a 3.5-year battery life and is water resistant up to 100 meters.

Awesome product. I have owned several different brands of HRM and this watch for the price is the best to date. I had the watch up and going after work in time for my nightly workout. The Xchanger delayed me a bit with Windows 7, but I resolved that within a short time. The Timex website will track progress and apprears to be very complete. I have been using serveral other site to store this information. Great job Timex, this could be the part of my workout that I am missing.

I received the watch today and was enjoying the features. However, the PC data link does not work. The watch cannot find the PC and I cannot find any help. Could just be me, but I have tried reading all I can and still the USB wireless connection is useless. The driver installed without any issues, but will not function as advertised. The Manual points to a Link for the software that is dead.

Nice all-around watch/HRM that I purchased mainly for monitoring my heart rate during workouts and running. So, after several workouts, a "Memory Full" message is displayed whenever I scroll to the other features. It does not affect any of the operations, but it is annoying to me.
I believe workouts are saved every time you reset any of the timers, and the memory function works on the FIFO principle. There is no option in the menus to clear the workouts held in memory, only to "Lock", or preserve workouts you do not want erased when the memory rolls over. Hopefully, a "Clear memory?" option will be included in future releases.

Excellent watch
I have been using the watch every time I exercise and it is very accurate. The heartrate was compared to the doctors machines and dead on the count.
