Like it a lot,

This review is from: Timex Men's Expedition Watch T41301 (Watch)
I bought this as an activity watch, kayaking, cycling and hiking. It looks really nice. I like the blue background. The watch case is plastic, not metal as advertized. The digital time in the lower area is small but readable. Keeps good time and is comfortable.

Great watch!,

I've been wearing this watch for a few months now. I can say I am very satisfied. The only con if you can call it that is the dial gets loose after awhile and rattles if you do anything rigorous with your hand. But not enough to where you think its going to come off. Its very easy to move like for instance, I usually keep the 00 at the top, well in the morning when you wake up alot of times its moved a quarter of the way down. Nothing big. Its not worth rating the whole watch badly for this little problem.
Since Timex doesn't make this specific model(T41301) with a velcro band so I used the band(http://www.voguestrap.com/tx877761.html) from my previous watch. I chose this specific model because it looked like the band that comes with it could easily be taken off and I was right. As for the band that came with it, I didn't really see anything wrong with it I just think a velcro band is more comfortable.

The Best Watch I've Ever Owned,
This review is from: Timex Men's Expedition Watch T41301 (Watch)
This watch is by far the best I've ever had. I use its many features literally every day. I wake up to the alarm on it, use the stopwatch to get back from lunch on time, and use the countdown timer whenever I want to set a timer or need a second alarm. Although it has many features, it does not go crazy with them, like some watches do. It has a good balance of features for anyone to use. It is easy to opperate and is rugged enough for even the worst conditions. I recomend this watch to anyone.

bezel rotates too easily,
Decent watch, such as it is. But the rotating bezel is useless as a timer. The problem is that it rotates both directions, and it rotates very easily - too easily - which means there is no resistance to unintended pressure. Set the bezel, pull your sleeve down, do some work, and when you next look the bezel has moved from where you set it.
I like the blue dial. But the night light function only works as long as you press the button, unlike staying on for 3 seconds as on other Timex watches. Also, the light button is on the upper left, which is a pain to reach if you wear the watch on your left wrist. You have to push your sleeve way up, whereas if on the right would be easy access. It matters, especially if you wear gloves. If on the right you would push the sleeve up with your right thumb and the button with your first or second finger. Being on the left you must push your sleeve way up, then reach around the watch to press back to the right, while twisting your right wrist so it doesn't block the view. I mention all this because I wanted a watch to wear while sailing at night. This one looks good at first, but fails to deliver functionality. |
