I wanted a watch that displays easy-to-read numerals plus both day and date. This watch meets those requirements perfectly and the cost is very reasonable. The large black numbers set against the white face make for easy reading, even for my 57 year old eyes. I would give it five stars, except the band that comes with the watch is too short for large men. I had to replace the one provided with a longer one. Also, the watch face is perhaps a bit petite for larger men, though I still like it. I strongly recommend this watch if you are 6' tall or less, and if you weigh 200 pounds or less.

I have had this watch for about a month and a half. It works great - the Indiglo backlight is reliable and surprisingly bright in the dark. It's accurate - I set this watch by the clock in my office (a nice mahogany-backed table clock by Comitti London) the day I received it, and it has not wavered at all. And it's sturdy - if I got the daily banging-around that I put my watch through, I'd be in the hospital inside of six hours, but my watch just takes it and grins. In my opinion, it is classy, understated, and looks more expensive than it actually is when it's worn with business clothes or just a T-shirt and shorts. I've had more than one person ask me if I should 'be wearing a nice watch' while riding my ATV or playing paintball. When I tell them it's a Timex, and then tell them the price, they usually don't believe me until I show them the watch up close so they can see the brand name. I've already had one friend buy a similar watch after seeing mine (he actually bought a more expensive Timex, and it looks just as nice). I was, and still am, saving up for a really expensive Brietling. But I'm certainly in no hurry now - this watch is great and I hope and expect to get many years of use out of it. The leather band is comfortable, flexible, and tougher than most other watch bands I've seen out there. This watch is all-around nice.

I owned this watch about a month and I am very pleased and happy with the watch. This watch to me is perfect. Its clean and classy looking, it has actual numbers instead of dashes(I cant stand those), easy to read, lights up when you press the button(especially bright during night time), and has the day/date on the side. I bought this watch because I already owned a metal strap watch and wanted something different but something still stylish and mature looking. This watch was it. I agree with the other poster who said the strap will be short for people with big wrist but that wasn't a problem for me since I'm a shorter guy but I could see that being a problem for bigger men.

This watch is a model for good design: One dial to easily set the time and date. No tide tables, no moon phases, no pulse reading. And it is quite handsome.

I bought this watch (from Target) for four reasons - real numbers on the face (verses dashes or roman numerals), the indigo feature (I pilot general aviation planes, interior lighting is terrible), I've got small wrists and this fits correctly and the face doesn't look enormous (verses the usual chunky mens' watches that make my wrists look tiny), and the price was right. I've had it now for about six months. Works fine. Been in the pool, showering the kids, washing dishes - no water problems noted. The wrist strap was stiff when new, but it has softened up a bit now. The glass has remained clear and the case scratch free. I'd buy another from Amazon when I need one if the price beats the street.

I was looking for a simple, nice looking watch with a day, date feature and a night light. This one fits the bill perfectly. If you don't need a stopwatch and all the fancy features on most digital watches then I highly recommend this retro Timex watch.

I bought this one and the silver w/black strap over 5 years ago and they still keep time perfectly. The indiglo is still working and has maintained it's brightness. The only thing I have changed is the brown band and the batteries on both. I would buy them again.

I recently went shopping for a new watch when my old Timex band started cracking after 8 years. Duct tape works ok to keep it together but I needed something that looks good on my wrist.

I went to Target looking for a new band and I decided that for a few dollars more I could just buy a new watch and use the old one for yard work and working out.

This model met all my requirements. I wanted a clean easy-to-read design with date and day, a comfortable brown leather band and a face that lights up clearly in the dark. So far after a few weeks I have been very happy. It looks as good as my $150 Seiko at a fraction of the price as well as keeps good time. It's still accurate to the second since I first set it.

I am a medium to large man who normally can only get the last notch buckled in most watch bands. This band will buckle to the second notch. The advantage of leather is that it CAN stretch, so don't worry if you have large wrists. A few minutes soaking the band in water will let it custom fit even the largest of wrists.

Design wise this watch has a nice clean legible design. I'm not going SCUBA diving or orienteering in the woods. I just want a nice stylish watch that will tell the time accurately at a glance without the distraction of nonsensical mini dials. The smaller case still looks good on my larger than normal wrist and doesn't catch on doorways or sleeves like a large bulky case would.

I've always had good luck with Timex watches since I was a kid. Good quality for the money. The only reason I have an expensive Seiko was because it was a gift and I only wear it for formal occasions.

Like the old ad says, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking...

This is a good timex watch. I'm on my second or third band (18mm). A comment: This watch was harder than most to close. If you plan to change the battery yourself, you may need to search on amazon for the "Little David" watch battery replacement press, which I have and which works well enough.

The watch itself if easy to read and looks nice enough, but I wish it weren't so deep/thick. As to the other comment about it not being wide enough for a larger man, I am happy with it!
