Great watch for the price. Unfortunately the Indiglo only lights up the face, the date is not lite. So, for that the watch gets 4 stars. They advertised Indiglo, but neglected to indicate that the date feature was not lit.
Purchased at Amazon, as always.

This is my husbands favorite watch,he has many very expensive watches but he wears this for everyday. He likes it so well he has a friend bringing 4 back from Vegas!!!!

I always buy Timex watches. They feel good on my arm, I like the Indiglo feature and they last a very long time.

On the plus side:
The watch looks good and time, date, day of week are easy to read.
On the down side:
It's hard to get the day of week set right. The instructions are poorly written. Most frustrating to me right now is the fact that the expansion band needs to be adjusted smaller and I am not able to figure out -- with the written instructions provided -- how to do it. "Movement made in Phillippines, band in China." Wonder where the instructions were written.
Mr. Timex, you and I have been friends for a long time but you are straining our relationship.

Very happy with it at first, but after about a year it started losing about five minutes per day. Replaced battery with a new battery, but watch kept losing about five minutes per day. Replaced battery a second time after checking battery first to make sure it was good. Watch continues to lose time. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the watch. First Timex product I have had a problem.

I waited a few months since my purchase so I could abuse this watch everyday before I wrote this review. For the money this is the best watch I own. I have found it does not lose more than 1 second a month. The minute hand is easily read and very accurate. This classy gold watch is a must for anyone that would enjoy this style watch.

This watch got water in it the first month so they replaced it. The next month it got water in it so they replaced it.The next month it got water in it so they replaced it.At 1 year and 1 month from my original purchase it is bad again. I called customer service about the problem and they said it's out of warranty send it in with $26 and they will fix it.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!

The T21942 goldtone watch was the nearest match to a previous every-day watch I owned for over ten years.
It performed well over the years, and I am so far satisfied with this one.
It is attractive and keeps time with sufficient accuracy for my every-day use.

the timex mens classic dress watch #T21942 is a very good watch,and keeps correct time. i have a more expensive watch ,but I PREFER THIS ONE BETTER. THE OTHER WATCH i HAVE IS TO COSTLY TO REPAIR,AND SOME WATCHMAKERS WILL NOT REPAIR IT BECAUSE OF GETTING PARTS. IF I HAVE TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED IT WILL NOT COST TO MUCH ,OR JUST TOSS IT,AND GET ANOTHER. THE PRICE IS RIGHT AT THIS TIME. A.A.D.

I bought this for my Dad in March 2006. He loves this watch. It's not too flashy and it works.
