I bought this watch to wear when I'm fishing. It is very easy to read because of it's size, contrasting face and hands. I don't have to put on my glasses to find out how late I am, and it's water resistant in case/when I fall in.

Excellent quality with cool indiglo lighting for night use! Love this watch at a terrific price!

This watch has held up under the harsh conditions of the Maine winter climate. It has few features but is great for minimalists like myself. Can't beat the watch, better than any other comparably priced watch I have ever owned!

Man the reviews some folks are writing are surprising to me. People want this watch to be ruggedly constructed, keep accurate time, have a moving second hand, display the date and day, provide a very useful indiglo backlight AND then complain that it SUCKS because it doesn't have a rotating bezel?

Please. The watch costs $33. Calm down.

Yes it shouldn't be described as having a rotating bezel but I don't see that in the Product Description (admittedly it maybe that it was included in early descriptions but it wasn't there when I bought mine).

I've had the watch about two months and wear it daily. It keeps amazingly accurate time (I don't think it's off by even one minute in that time). It's light, very easy to read and the indiglo is great for checking the time in dark conditions.

For the money this is a five star watch EXCEPT for the strap which far too easily absorbs sweat and stains (darkens) very easily. The discoloration is modest but could annoy some. Really the strap should be treated to be moisture resistant. Ergo I give it four stars.

I received the watch 3 days ago, and thus far I am very happy with the purchase.
Obviously, this does not have any bells and whistles. It's merely a watch. However, with that said, this watch has a very nice indigo feature. Very crisp and bright- very pleasant to look at. In addition, build is very solid, feels just about right on the wrist- not too heavy, not too light. The leather is also very comfortable though it does not feel good the first hour or so after you put it on. In addition, the metal rim around the watch is a very nice as it serves effectively as a stop watch.
I can think of one con which is the fact that the ticking is a little bit loud. Don't get me wrong, this isn't something you would hear frequently, only at night when you're trying to sleep. But even then, it has to be within a foot away from your ear.... though, i doubt you'd lose sleep on it even if you had it on your wrist at night.

Great watch- works great, feels great, and does exactly what's expected of it!

Edit: Been at least a year since I owned this watch, though I lost it not too long ago. My final thought is just this:
- Great watch but... the leather band cracks after about 3-6 months. Luckily, you won't really notice it when you're wearing it.

This is a great watch with many features I desired in a watch.
- Tells time (naturally) with a sweep second
- Has elapsed time bezel
- Has 24 hour markings
- Has Day & Date display
- Has night light
- Has glow in the dark hands
- Is water resistant
- Is accurate
And it is nice looking.
The only con I can think of is the fact that the rotating bezel tends to rattle sometimes but it's no big deal.

Generally this is a nice watch for everyday use and traveling. I really like the indiglo feature for use in the dark. In general the only complaint is not being able to adjust the date without circling for 24 hours howrs. some of the Timex expeditions have this feature but not this model. This is a typical Timex product, lasts for a long time, perfectly functional, and doesnt look cheap.

Here's another Timex watch that is suppose to have a "rotating" bezel, but it does NOT rotate. I previously ordered a different model Timex watch that also had a rotating bezel that did NOT rotate.

I called the Timex watch warranty phone number that came with the generic instructions about this problem. The customer support person said that the rotating bezel is just "decorative" on some watches, and that I would have to return the watch to Timex and they would try to find the same model watch with a rotating bezel... you gotta be kidding me !!

Why on earth would a watch company even bother producing a watch with a "decorative" bezel instead of one that actually has a useful function ?

To make matters worse they do not even produce the dummy watches under a different model number, and explicitely say that the bezel is "decorative" only and that it does NOT rotate.

This just does not make any sense.

I returned the watch as I did the other one, and will give up on the Timex watches.

If you want a Timex with a rotating bezel, I suggest you go to a brick-and-mortar store and see if the bezel actually rotates.

Call Times at: 1.800.448.4639 and ask them about their "rotating" bezels.

Watch is fine, a little heavy. My disappointment is that the bezel does not move...kind of useless, as I like to use the bezel for timing things at work.

I bought this EXACT model about 10 years ago. It's a great watch. Went shopping locally, but couldn't find it. I looked and found it on Amazon. The thing is, I actually use the "bezel" feature on this thing. I use it to time things all the time at work. Guess what?...the bezel doesn't rotate. It did before, but not now. Seriously...explain it to me...! Why put a rotating bezel on a watch that doesn't rotate? Why not also put a slot for the date, but make it so that it doesn't actually work. Tell your customers that it's for "decorative" purposes. Maybe Timex could start making cars that have "air conditioners" for decorative purposes only. Or toothpaste that has a cap that won't open...for decorative purposes. It is highly irritating and I will return it, only to be charged a 20% restocking fee...for decorative purposes.
