5.0 out of 5 stars Timex makes the best watches
This is my third Timex watch. I have an Ironman one and an old digital one that is thirteen years old which still works (I have only replaced the battery once too)! Timex just astounds me at how much better quality their watches for such a reasonable price. I have a thing for watches but I can say with confidence that the Timex ones work perfectly (I have had multiple...

2.0 out of 5 stars This is an 'outdoor' watch?
I bought this watch less than 3 months ago. Since then it has been put through relatively mild conditions but nothing even close to extreme. Within a month, the paint on the rotating bezel began to wear/chip off. And today I bumped it on my linoleum countertop (not exactly a hard surface!) and it shattered the mineral crystal between 7 and 8 o'clock (see user-submitted...

This is my third Timex watch. I have an Ironman one and an old digital one that is thirteen years old which still works (I have only replaced the battery once too)! Timex just astounds me at how much better quality their watches for such a reasonable price. I have a thing for watches but I can say with confidence that the Timex ones work perfectly (I have had multiple problems with Swiss Army and Tissot, which were a lot more money too, go figure).

Have gone swimming with it without any problems. INDIGLO feature was a huge plus for me as well.
AWESOME watch for a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars What's not to like., February 24, 2009

Basic dive watch, looks good, inexpensive with benefit of indiglo. Band is great too. What's not to like?

2.0 out of 5 stars This is an 'outdoor' watch?, August 17, 2010

I bought this watch less than 3 months ago. Since then it has been put through relatively mild conditions but nothing even close to extreme. Within a month, the paint on the rotating bezel began to wear/chip off. And today I bumped it on my linoleum countertop (not exactly a hard surface!) and it shattered the mineral crystal between 7 and 8 o'clock (see user-submitted pictures above).. Hardly what I'd call an 'outdoor' watch, this thing didn't even last a few months. I'm pretty sure the 5-star reviewers on here reviewed their watch immediately after receiving it, prior to subjecting it to any kind of legitimate outdoor use, so disregard reviews talking about "how cool the watch looks" etc. This watch does look cool, for about a week before the paint starts to come off. In terms of the whole Timex brand, I'd just go with something better, this stuff is just cheap overpriced garbage.

Timex has a winner with this watch. Not only very attractive but highly functional as well. Easy to wear and easy to read. Highly Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good water resistant watch - not a divers watch, March 30, 2008
If you want a true divers watch, this isn't it.

If you want a solid, well made watch that can go 200 meters deep that looks good then this is it. Case, bezel, and band are all well made. Indiglo night light feature is what sold me on this particular watch. Only negative is the 3 position stem is a bit hard to get into the middle (speed date) position and often when tightening down the crow I have inadvertently changed the date.

Looked around for a similar product with a large display, metal case and luminous dial and found them to be substantially higher priced. This watch is exactly what I am looking for and I'm glad I found it in a Timex as all my previous watches were Timex and I have never been disappointed. I'm sure I will enjoy years of use with this watch.

Excellent everyday or work watch if you work outdoors. Typical Timex reliability at a reasonable price with the indiglo that I love. I also really like the unique strap design that keeps the strap end pinned to my wrist.

The fact that the rotating dial won't stay put is a little annoying. Otherwise, it keeps good time. Needs another band, something easily fixed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Watch!, November 28, 2011
This review is from: Timex Men's T49618 Expedition Dive Style Watch (Watch)
I got this watch about half a year ago and it is great. I did not buy the watch only for its ability to go 200 meters deep in the water but also because it looked cool. The reviewers that said that the watch fogs up probably did not screw in the crown all the way in. You have to push on the crown and then screw it in so it does not wobble around and spin. I chipped a bit of glass off of my watch by accident but the watch is still water resistant to a point where I can swim in it without worrying at all. Definitely a good looking, good working, and well worth the money watch!

5.0 out of 5 stars great, March 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Timex Men's T49618 Expedition Dive Style Watch (Watch)
This is a great watch plain and simple.the face is large enough that all it takes is one look to know what time it is.The hands and number marks are large as well and they glow all night long without needing to use the back light either. It's also not seven inches thick where you catch it on everything and are constantly aware of how thick or heavy it is.Which it isn't.

The best thing though is on the tongue part of the band that goes into the slot of the opposite side of the band, it has a little protruding bud that clips into the slot. That way the band slide isn't constantly moving up and down leaving you with the end piece being exposed and also catching on things.

You will not be embarrassed in any way by saying this is a Timex.Because you will also know that this thing will also take a beating and keep on ticking.
